REDJOHNNYMIKE
Some sort of glowing substance would be cool, but it would have to have an off switch for Ninja Thrusdays
PoiuyWired
Well, LEDs would actually sound cool, though batteries replacement would be a problem. Maybe that would be better done as part of a pocketing/piercing so battery can be held outside? But when it comes to electronics for some reason I always imaging some dude yelling "Go Go Gadget!!" And for the last time, any retractable metallic claw implants is dumb, impractical, etc.
REDJOHNNYMIKE
That pic of Maze kinda sucked, but I found better... Maybe if you could create something that combines the solar energy absorption of luminescent materials (Eg: glow in the dark toys) with the materials of a light emitting diode, that way you would have an adjustable light source (maybe I'm feeling kinda green today...) that wouldn't require an attached power source... Just select a color and wave your iDermal TM over it to "paint" selected sections. edit: btw, I can't remember who had the medical issue... but did you ever get that bionic toe? Jae Onasi
Geez, usually we want to minimize scarring, not maximize it, RJM. There are different medications that affect healing rates which could affect how the scar/brand forms, but I don't know how much of that can be done 'over the counter' vs. needing to be done under the auspices of plastic surgery--that's way out of my sphere of expertise. Aash Li
WhyTF would someone get that?! What are they gonna do in 30 years when they get all wrinkly and that becomes unreadable. I can just imagine kids then: "What does that say on your arm grandpa?" "Ahhh... this.. when I was a kid, our computers were plagued with the Blue Screen of Death... it was a terrible menace, popping up and destroying hours worth of work!" Kids: O.o http://www.engadget.com/2007/06/21/zune-tattoo-guy-gets-microsofts-attention/ this one is more amusing... the comments anyway... cracks about ms. zunefan (instead of MSzunefan). lol

Arcesious
No way! tattoes are simply a persons pleasure in wanting to be 'cool'. Ebesides- i don't want soem skull tatto on my chest or some wierd looking think on my arm. It just isn't natural to me. I've seen people who looked like they were part of some crazy experiemtn triying to fuse a mutated rianbow with a human. trust me, tattoes don't look good on a person- theyare only things people get just to satify themselves and make themsleves feel 'tough', or 'special'. Tattoos are pointless to get in my opinion, as i already have pleanty mucle on these arms of mine- and i don't want to runi the nice way my mucles look when i flex them looking in the mirror. tk102
tattoes are simply a young persons pleasure in wanting to be 'cool'...tattoes don't look good on a person- theyare only things people get just to satify themselves and make themsleves feel 'tough', or 'special'. There are a number of people who would disagree with you Arcesious and you seem to be inviting them to do so with your generalizations. You're invited to actually read this thread to see if your "conclusions" about why people get tattoos still hold.
Arcesious
Jeez- that was just my opinion. What really is th epoint of getting them though?
Cygnus Q'ol
No tats yet, although I'm still considering. I've always wanted one but I haven't acted on that impulse. All these years and I still haven't found the symbol(s) that encapsulates me. Maybe a Homer Simpson in a Bear Jersey holding a lightsaber. "Mmmmm, pretty popsicle, zzzzzpt! OOOh!" REDJOHNNYMIKE
@Arc, Why would anyone get a painting and ruin the way the walls of their house look?
Jae Onasi
Get novelty contact lenses if you really want to freak people out Just make sure to get them from your eye care provider. Even if the contacts don't have a 'prescription' to correct the vision part, they're still a prescription-only item in the US. The fit of the lens is also part of the prescription. If a contact lens doesn't fit the eye properly, it can actually cause damage to the eye, so it's important to have that evaluated. I 100% agree with ya' Jae ~ Cz
igyman
Don't have tattoos and don't plan on having any. I have nothing against them, actually, if I ever for some strange reason decide to get a tattoo, I would get one of those tribal stuff on the back of the neck, or a shoulder. Out of all the pretty tattoo pictures only the tribal patterns look cool to me. However, I don't plan on getting a tattoo for one simple reason (or two) - I'm just not a person that would look good with a tattoo and I would not feel better with it.
