Sabretooth
Since I was feeling all wrong and guilty over not mentioning by other bands, I too shall take part in this crusade of ignoring. Iron Maiden Black Sabbath Judas Priest Rammstein Nightwish Ensiferum Finntroll Dimmu Borgir (early works) Gorgoroth Burzum Korpiklaani Turisas Epica Apocalyptica Skyfire Lacuna Coil (few songs) Wintersun Mezarkabul (a.k.a. Pentagram) Blind Guardian Haggard And last but not least: #5. KoRn If it's at #5, it is apparently the least.
Pie™
I couldn't possibly boil it down to five, so I'll post my weekly artist chart from my Last.fm: Xasthur Death in June Unlife Woods of Infinity Wyrd Lifelover Uaral Krohm Primordial Nox Arcana

Jeff
David Bowie Elton John Eric Clapton Pink Floyd The Beatles Its hard to narrow it down to five, there's a lot more I listen to that I could put in that list.
Kjølen
I don't listen to a lot of music, so I only have three: 1 - Nightwish 2 - The Offspring 3 - Metallica However, I listen to a lot of esoteric music, like anime soundtracks, movie soundtracks, and yes, LazyTown soundtracks. TiE23
I listen to a lot of compilation albums. So not many "I like this band" things. *Huge shrug* #1 - Lynyrd Skynyrd (God damn google search giving me the 'ok') #2 - AC/DC #3 - The Rolling Stones #4 - Muse #5 - DragonForce (LOL)
El Sitherino
I'm substituting bands as musicians/music group. 1. Bowie 2. Mos Def 3. Misfits 4. Prince MC Chris! 5. Coltrane/Rollins Honorable Mentions: The Temptations, Charlie Parker, Iggy Pop, Stevie Ray Vaughn. And a few others, but I'd end up just naming every artist who's material I own. It's a little hard to really put it down to 5. That's leaving out a lot of musicians influential to me, as well as just entertaining.
BongoBob
Yeah, naming the top 5 is simply impossible, but what I've been listening to lately has been Streetlight Manifest, Coheed and Cambria, David Bowie, Flogging Molly, and Smashing Pumpkins.
