edlib
I have returned. Try to contain your excitement. WTF: It's hotter in Boston than it was when I left Florida! What the hell is up with that?!?? That don't seem right... Oh well... A lot of built up stuff to deal with right now. I'll post more later, after I cope with the culture shock of being back home again. Kuuki
yeah i pulled out the cmos battery (CR2032) left it out for the day, put it in the next and it won't even power up. my luck must be at like -666 or something. lol you know, that if you pull the battery to clear the cmos, you'd only have to do that for about a minute... and that battery model is pretty much standard for most bios's now that 8800gt, you SURE you got enough wattage to power that thing wiht your current setup? if you got a decently nice cpu and along with everything else (ram hdd's etc etc) say, you might need like a 500-650w psu now if nothing works, maybe have you burned out the psu (which you could use a new one anyway) Here is a decent looking 600w for $60 Here is a 550 for $35 Here is a 680w for $40, but I'm not sure if thats a good quality
Rogue15
i put a 500 watt in it. not sure what the heck one it came with, it doesn't say on it anywhere. like i said i put everything back in the way it was and nothing. so i dunno wth i did. apathetic about it right now...... edlib
Spent most of today trying not to sweat. First thing I did upon awakening was to get the air-conditioners in the windows and all the fans up and running full blast. Then I unpacked, dug through my accumulated mail (both snail and electronic...) and uploaded my vaca pics to Facebook. Other than that, it was mostly preparing physically and mentally to return to work tomorrow... and sitting in one place, very, very still. For those of you sans Facebook: Vacation photos album 1. #2. #3. Four.

Zargon
its doubtfull he needs a 600w PSU I run my ram and CPU oc'd with an 8600GT and 3 sata II drives on an antec 450 with no issues at all. of course, most generic PS's can barely dream of reliably putting out claimed wattage... Cmdr. Cracken
Probably. That happened to me when I went to the more powerful Gphx cards a year ago. Fried the PSU to hell and back. Got some things goin' at work to make me look kick f**kin' ass up at our district office. They will love me. Hopefully.
edlib
Mmmmmm... fried PSU. *Drools* First day back to work... and it was a snoozer. Nice thing too: it was way, way too much of a scorcher to do anything particularly strenuous. Spent the afternoon mostly catching up on anything I missed while I was away, and preparing for the new digital monitor board we finally got approval for. (*Yay!*) It's actually not too bad outside here now, almost pleasant, even... but I still think I'll leave the AC going tonight, if on low. It will be easier than running around and shutting everything back up in the morning.
Rogue Nine
The power supply is the one component in your computer system that you DO NOT want to skimp out on, as it has the potential to fry all your other shiny, expensive parts. I wouldn't buy from unproven brands like Raidmax, ePower, etc because the durability and quality of their products are suspect. The best PSU makers are Antec, Corsair and Thermaltake, as their products have been well vetted in the computing community.

Wildstar
Had my best bowling series ever yesterday, though it was unofficial b/c it came in practice and not in actual competition. Still, a 689 is nothing to sneeze at. Details on my blog.
