MdKnightR
CBS cancelled JERICHO AGAIN!!! But the buzz is that Sci-Fi might consider picking it up for a 3rd season. That would be better than letting CBS handle it any further. Maybe if we deluge Sci-Fi with peanuts this time, it might happen.
Aash Li
And youre surprised by this why? Theyve been saying it forever. "Coming [whenever] the final season of Jericho." Also, corporate networks are the fail of tv shows. Just look at Fox incredible list of cancelled but great shows that were replaced by slop like American Idol... Det. Bart Lasiter
I usually like to turn off the TV and just hallucinate for a while.

Det. Bart Lasiter
I find that the downward spiral our culture is on frightening and that most of what's on TV represents said spiral.

Oh, I can't really say I'm surprised, but I can be angry nonetheless. I do agree with you on networks being the fail of tv shows. Fox has canned some of my favorites.....Dark Angel was moved to Friday nights in the 2nd season, spelling its doom. It was followed up the next year with John Doe in the same time slot. I loved that show too, but alas, Friday nights are not good for ratings. John Doe was replaced in that slot by the 4th season of Boston Public, which didn't see the end of its "senior year" season. After that, I pretty much stopped watching Fox. CBS will get the same treatment from me from here on out.
Aash Li
Same, the only tv I watch now I download from Japan, and when Dr Who starts up again, that too. Oh and I watch CMT and Scifi occaisionally.
Rabish Bini
Sci-Fi is a great channel, mainly because they have the Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel series'.
Taos
Sad for sure, but not much of a surprise. I loathe the networks. Oh, what's this...another new reality show? Yay....I'd rather bang my head against the wall. :-/
Tommycat
Yeah I'm REALLY tired of "reality" TV. The best shows keep getting killed because they try to put them against the big Reality TV series. Which is cheap to make, because special effects are non-existant, and few actors need to be paid.
Q
Well, at least it didn't end with a cliffhanger. CBS should be commended for that. What burns my ass is that really good shows lke Jericho get the axe while cheesy crap like CSI: Miami survives indefinitely. It boggles the mind and serves as proof that the American television audience has either no taste, or no intelligence, or both. Here's to hoping that SciFi picks it up. Rabish Bini
Yeah, I REALLY hate the CSI series', dunno how they've survived so long.
Q
I'm not talking about the original CSI, mind you. I think it's great. CSI Miami, on the other hand, is cheeseball crap. It has: 1) Bad acting. 2) Stupid plots. 3) Ridiculously stupid criminals. 4) David Caruso, whose intonAtion... AND... draMATic pause... is REALly... anNOYing. 5) A lab that looks like it belongs on the starship Enterprise. I could go on and on, but I think I've made my point. The show is pure crap, period. Oh and I watch CMT and Scifi occasionally. *questions forum legality of Aash statement* Ive never seen Jericho, but the recent writers strike didnt help many shows whose fortunes were up for review. There are a few that didnt make it out the other end... mtfbwya
JCarter426
Fox died to me the day Firefly was cancelled. Aye. And Futurama. And Arrested Development. And, strangely enough, all of them have moved on to greener pastures--movies! Anyway, I've never seen Jericho. Someone in my house watches it, though, so I've been forceably exposed to it second-hand. Let's just say that I can understand why it was cancelled...twice. JediMaster12
JCarter how dare you! I have watched Jericho since it first aired. Needless to say that I found it a great show considering that there are hardly who address the idea that the US becomes the victim because of people within its own borders. It kind of fuels what I have mentioned before that we spend too much time worrying about terrorists overseas when there are the ones homegrown we should be worrying about. The fact that American TV is in favor of these reality crap shows is sickening. Isn't watching the news about the celebs enough? I really hop Sci-fi picks up where CBS left off. They already show the reruns of season one.

Taos
Hey, CBS is the one that started the whole "reality" show craze. Blame them! Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe it was MTV that started it all with their Real World show. Then after it became popular, everything snowballed from there. Tommycat
Taos is correct. The Real World was the first of the reality shows. MTV Networks is to blame. Though technically its not their fault. I mean if nobody had watched it it would never have been repeated.

(and the follow up 28, 35, 42 up) Fascinating stuff, following these kids through adulthood and into mature age. That being made in 1964, MTV wasn't even a glint in some stoners eye back then! mtfbwya

Arcesious
Personally I hate overdramatic shows loaded with plot devices... I agree that the world is in a downward spiral, but at least there are still good new shows that keep coming up despite the growing number of stupid shows, so at least the intelligent part of humanity still exists. I also hate CSI. My parents are addicted to watching it, and all it ever does to them is leaves them in a bad mood afterwards... I kinda find it annoying that new SG Atlantis episodes haven't been on Sci-fi on Fridays anymore since Jericho came on to Sci-fi... I remember two weeks ago on Sci-Fi: "New Episode of SG Atlantis next Friday at 9/8c", only to see Jericho on those Fridays when it said that it would be on... It's been two weeks.... and I hate watching SG Atlantis reruns Monday-Thursday, since I've seen every single SG Atlantis episode already... The next season premiere of SG Atlantis better be good if I'm waiting this long... What exactly is this new Jericho show about anyways? Why is it so highly praised?
