Da_man Posted April 11, 2008 Posted April 11, 2008 Are you implying that at some point in time google hasn't worked? No google is just way too vague. A friend searched "the beast" and came up horse porn.
Boba Rhett Posted April 11, 2008 Posted April 11, 2008 Well your friend shouldn't have been looking for horse porn anyways. Tell him to flip on Safesearch. It filters out horse dongs. Or so I hear.
Writer Posted April 12, 2008 Posted April 12, 2008 In the search for answers, I follow the crowd. Google.
littleman794 Posted April 12, 2008 Posted April 12, 2008 it is simply because google is the beeeeeest!! did you know google is coming out with their own server in 2010? for those who dont know, a server is like, for example: windows XP.... who is gonna get it??ill probably try it out and see how i like it...
Serpentine Cougar Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 ^ Do you mean Operating System? That's interesting.... No google is just way too vague. A friend searched "the beast" and came up horse porn. You just have to know how to word your queries to get what you want. I'd imagine it'd be the same on any search engine...
Darth_Extas Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 overall its been google and stuck with google interesting choices though...
Tommycat Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 Search Engines are for the weak. I use straight up IP addresses. N00B MAC address all the way. Yeah pretty much Google, I used to use HotBot, because you could filter out certain words. Like if you wanted to do a search on something like adult entertainment but filter out all references to XXX(yes there is such a thing) you wouldn't have to wade through 10M web sites to find something that you wanted.
Ben Paddon Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 I only know one person who uses a search engine that isn't Google, and he uses Yahoo! which is actually now powered by Google.
littleman794 Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 and he uses Yahoo! which is actually now powered by Google. that is because google PWNZ!!!!!!!!! google also bought out youtube..(for those who don't know that already)
Ben Paddon Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 urluckyday appears to be one of those anti-Google conspiracy theorists who thinks Google is invading the lives of every man, woman, and child on the planet.
littleman794 Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 oh, cmon urluckyday....puleeeeease, that is sad....that is just like saying that you are presently taking over my hard drive and filling it with country music!!!(that would be a very mean thing to do, mind you) lol!!
Sabretooth Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 No google is just way too vague. A friend searched "the beast" and came up horse porn. Why your "friend" would want to search for "the beast" without intentions of bestiality escapes me. Kids these days...
Ben Paddon Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 Because there aren't any mythological or religious figures that have gone by that name, nor are there any bands or characters in animated movies oh hey now wait a minute...
>General Havok< Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 What about metacrawler? It makes for a quick and easy audio search
Darth333 Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 I use mainly Google but I find that their search relevancy is degrading.
littleman794 Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 Google, google, google, goooooooooooogle.....PWNZ!!!! whoever thinks google suks suks.......
aarathy Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 I prefer Google because of it's simplicity. When I'm doing a search, I prefer not to have to wait until all of the news stories come up. Google has it's nice simple into page with no extraneous stuff to get in my way.
Rabish Bini Posted September 24, 2008 Posted September 24, 2008 As my dad calls it, Ooglegoog Or if I'm feelin clever, Elgoog It's google, but backwards
