Jedi Master Aagin
that room looks totally awesome doc! the only complaint i have (how could one exist for that godly room???) is the chairs/couches. the cushions look kinda like plain ol red blocks on steel, could you try to flatten them and put a design on em like how the floor is done please? Edit: scratch that flattening idea, i just thought of what it would look like which in my mind turned into red pieces of paper that shortly fell off the couch but please still do the design idea
TheProphet
I have often thought of the same thing, most likely in the final version you will see a much more detailed room, especially in areas which look as though they are flat colors. We'll see what happens later I guess. Thank you for your feedback Darth Aagin, I'm glad to know you like the room. However, in the future, please use the edit button rather than double post, it can clutter up the thread making it load longer for people with slower connections. Thanks again, -Doc
TheProphet
Sorry that it has been such a long time since I updated you guys, this last module has been such a pain in the neck. Having to make my own Coruscant backdrop was probably one of the most time consuming things ever, I think the room turned out nicely though, I will show you some actual screenshots of the cutscene once I am done scripting it. -Doc
zbyl2
I can say just one word about your project: WOW! This screenshot looking great, I think this skybox is much better than this from previous screenshot. This is great Doc!

Papership
The glow on that sky box is incredible. It's really warm and gives a true sense of depth. Not to mention that the pink, blue and yellow sky totally makes me tingle! Well done! ~Pap~
spyblade
Agreed! I saw the latest pic, and it didn't even look like a room with flat skybox "paintings" for windows. I thought some hardcore modeling had been done for a sec. It's looking great.

redrob41
Well, I've just read through most of the 5 pages (kinda skipped some of the technical details). The screen shots you've posted look great, and each succesive shot of a scene really shows how quickly it has improved. Your team is doing a fantastic job Doc. There are only a few things I can add right now. The green lighting sceme is really over powering, and if that is your intent, then it's working. I don't know how lighting works (if the green will over power any other colours you put in the scene), but you may want to break it up a bit with some small yellows or cyans (like buttons and lights on screens and monitors). Analagous colours might add depth to the scene. As for the couch, it still gets lost in the surroundings. It's camoflaged into the carpet and drapes. I'm no interior designer, but perhaps if the diamond shapes were similar to some of the gold or silver colours already in the room, it would tie everything together. Another option would be to make the couches a brown leather (that might also bridge the gap between the burgandy and the gold). I know that you've spent a lot of time on it already, and probably want to get onto other parts of the mod, but I don't think it needs too much more. Still, the room looks very rich; it reminds me of the Fairmont Hotel MacDonald dining area (sorry, I couldn't find a good photo for comparison). The backgrounds out the windows look great and add even more warmth to the scene. It looks very cozy and "safe" to be in that room. Keep up the great work
TheProphet
@redrob41 - That is actually a good idea, thank you for the feedback, I will see what I can do in that area . Here are some screenshots of the actual cutscene in the game so that you get a better idea of how it will look. Here are some in-game in-cutscene renders to show you what it will really look like. Took out the spoilers. CENSORED! -Doc

redrob41
Heh, I like the little Dantooine skybox picture in first one. That adds a lot of depth. Isn't that just a wall painting? Either way, it's a nice touch.
TheProphet
Isn't that just a wall painting? Either way, it's a nice touch. Yes, you are correct, it is indeed a painting. However, I think Sithspecter was referring to the fact that it is part of the Dantooine Skybox. Thank you for the feedback .
Ztalker
Got to love the 'beep' Anyways, this looks awesome! Although I have to say...I kind of lost track of it all. I remember you once posted an update about what you did with Onderon and you retextured Dantooine into Hoth...is this still the same mod? Anyways, I think this room itself is already a very cool mod in it's own right! Quality work!

Papership
Lots of great touches, I also like the stripy vase (bear in mind I am English, so you have to read it 'vaaarse'). The apartment looks very rich! Are these people rich? Great dialogue =] you need a ' in the "its" on the last shot. You probably did what I do all the time; used the curvy ’ instead of '. But Kotor can’t read those  Most excellent work. I eagerly await the next teaser! ~Pap-Pap~

I eagerly await the next teaser! ~Pap-Pap~ That is precisely what happened , the same thing happens in NwN2 only it turns them into quotation marks so it comes out as it"s, which looks very strange, but all things get worked out through beta I guess . -Doc
TheProphet
So anyways, getting away from Coruscant now, I have started work on the outer areas of that temple I was building earlier. This is the planet Croitia, which you can see from the planets section on the website. It is a purpleish planet so you will understand the color scheme. Here are a few early renders: It goes on like this for miles and miles... No, I'm not kidding... Those are steps... it's not a ramp, just wanted to clarify. More when I get it -Doc
