itchythesamurai Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 If it turns out to be Family Guy, I'm going to become an hero.
itchythesamurai Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 Sin City or South Park or Hellboy all would be really ridiculously awesome, but I'd be legitimately surprised if it turned out to be any of those. It'd be cool to see Telltale games on the XBOX Live Arcade though.
jp-30 Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 On the TTG blog, the new game's being announced during a Comic-Con session entitled "the Secrets Behind Turning Comics into Games" http://www.telltalegames.com/community/blogs/id-354 Hmmmmm...
Udvarnoky Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 Thanks for mentioning that, though it should be noted that that could be completely irrelevant seeing as Telltale has hosted comic-to-game panels in the past. EDIT: I'm an idiot.
Huz Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 I'm hoping for a Family Guy game, although I have absolutely no reason to do so!
Krazy Posted July 25, 2008 Posted July 25, 2008 I'm hoping for a Family Guy game, although I have absolutely no reason to do so! American Dad would be better. (imho) Thank goodness both of you were wrong: http://www.telltalegames.com/community/blogs/id-360
The Tingler Posted July 25, 2008 Posted July 25, 2008 I know, every other suggestion here pales in comparison to the reality!
Giant Graffiti Posted July 25, 2008 Posted July 25, 2008 I feel like my first child was just born! Yeah, so anyway, it sounds pretty promising.
Huz Posted July 25, 2008 Posted July 25, 2008 I know, every other suggestion here pales in comparison to the reality!Yeah, this is great news. As Tingle-oh points out in the Mojo comments, it's almost a shame TellTale aren't British - it's all too easy for dodgy Americanisms to creep in and ruin the atmosphere. But hopefully Aardman will rule with an iron fist (when it comes to approving the final script).
The Tingler Posted July 25, 2008 Posted July 25, 2008 That is true, but Telltale have always maintained a close working relationship with Jeff Smith, Steve Purcell and homestarrunner.com to make their games as close to the source material as possible. They'll be great. And the only decent British adventure outlet, Revolution (Broken Sword, Beneath a Steel Sky etc), don't really do humour. They'd be perfect for Doctor Who though.
neon_git Posted July 25, 2008 Posted July 25, 2008 Will it be possible to avoid calling it Wallace and Gromit Season One (as opposed to Series One)? I know it's kind of superficial, but it just feels wrong in my bones. I'm sure the games will be the most totally awesome thing ever either way.
Jeff Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 osnap I haven't seen Wallace and Gromit but it sounds like something to keep an eye on.
itchythesamurai Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 The movie and the boxed set of the three shorts are for cheap on Amazon. They would be a wise investment if you enjoy quality laughter.
