What are your favorite Disney songs?

Recommended Posts

As anyone familar with Disney can say Disney has a habit putting songs into it's movies.

Now of all the many songs Disney has made which ones are your personal favorites? The songs aren't restricted to the movies. You can also list songs from things like Disney TV Shows.

For me I'd say my favorites are the following:

1. "Gaston" (Beauty and the Beast)

2. "Friend Like Me" (Aladdin)

3. "Welcome to the Forty Thieves" (Aladdin and the King of Thieves)

4. "The World's Greatest Criminal Mind" (The Great Mouse Detective)

5. "Why Me?" (Cut Aladdin song)

Honorable mentions: "Darkwing Duck Outro" (obvious), "You're Only Second Rate" (Return of Jafar), "Hellfire" (The Hunchback of Notre Dame), "Mine, Mine, Mine" (Pocahontas), "Prince Ali" (Aladdin)

"All in a Golden Afternoon" and "The Unbirthday Song" from Alice in Wonderland, EVERYTHING from Mulan (especially "Honer to Us All", which I find myself frequently singing around the house, and "Reflections") and "Scales and Arpeggios" From the Aristocats....

"Song of the South." (Yeah, I bet no one gets the reference... :p)
I'm sure this isn't it.

I would post a link to the original, but I don’t believe that discussion is appropriate for Ahto. “Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah” is a very good song and one of my favorites, but I can see why some find the video and film racist. I will say James Baskett had a great singing voice.

I watched my language arts teacher's japanese bootleg copy in lhis class. Specificly the Br'er Rabbit, Br'er Fox, and Br'er Bear sections. "Betta not throw me in that there brier patch.." "Brier patch? BRIER PATCH?!?!"

On the subject of choir, We had a disney themed show in the 7th grade, Motions and costumed characters included. That show blew though, cause some chick Showgirls'd me by pushing me down some steps, and almost killed my knee.

Oh yeah, I forgot "When I See an Elephant Fly" from Dumbo....
