Rabish Bini
"That Hugh Laurie show is nothing but Scrubs fan fiction." - Zach Braff on House Yes, Zach Braff does fail, seeing as, while they're both based in a hospital, they're almost completely different genres. The_Catto
I miss Swat Cats. Plus, Scrubs is just ... Well ... I would say awesome ... But ... I just .. Wouldn't be doing it any good really. It's beyond that really. It's beyond any of us to think about it. Yes .. I love watching Scrubs. Scrubs has that good duality of comedy, yet serious issues. There's funny comments and events that happen but it always has a counter balance of something happening that makes it more down to earth than any other show. Anyway, back to my original point of this post ... I miss Swat Cats. And the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I have a VHS of two episodes with the cool and awesome Bebop and RockSteady. Also Krang (which I find has a rather annoying voice). Wow, I haven't watched that for ages ... I think it's time I dusted the Video Player and chuck it in... Astor
I stopped watching Cartoon Network when they stopped showing Tom & Jerry and Looney Tunes. You poor kids missed all the decent cartoons. I didn't. I used to love watching Tom and Jerry. Indeed, over here (UK) they still show Tom and Jerry and Looney Tunes on CN. They seriously stopped showing it in the US? As for Toonami, at the risk of sounding ridiculous, what is it?

They seriously stopped showing it in the US?Unfortunately, yes. It's probably another example of political correctness gone wrong, but Looney Toons are outright classics and deserve to have an eternal spot on television, but the people at Turner must not think so. As for Toonami, at the risk of sounding ridiculous, what is it?It was a more experimental block of animation on Carton Network, but eventually most of the traditional and CGI animation was replaced with anime, and not very good ones to boot. I stopped watching it after they stopped showing ReBoot and Batman.
Aash Li
Cartoon Network died a long long time ago. When they stopped producing great shows and started shoveling out cheap crap a retarded four year old could think up on a bad day. One of the last great shows they had was Venture Bros. When that was cancelled, it officially died with a squeak. Yeah PC-ness needs to be outlawed... no longer showing looney tunes is a crime in itself! I think most of us grew up watching those cartoons.
Astor
I stopped watching it after they stopped showing ReBoot and Batman. Ah, Batman! I loved watching all the Bruce Timm DC series, in fact I stopped watching Cartoon Network after they stopped. All CN shows here seems to be Scooby Doo, for some reason. Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show) >.> Yeah, Toonami (and CN) has gone all to heck nowadays... pity they want to put that Tom/Eric crap on the air rather than something good... Sabretooth
Man, they took out Toonami here years ago. Guess anime just wasn't working here. IIRC, Pokémon was introduced via Toonami, but became so big here, it got it's own slot. After that I remember they had that Digimon thing, and I have no more memories then. What's amusing is that Toonami wasn't handled as an anime-only segment. It was more of an "action-zone" type of thing. I remember they had this 3D animated action series about some cyborg agent or something. Lotsa stuff other than anime, that's fo sure.
El Sitherino
I stopped watching Cartoon Network when they stopped showing Tom & Jerry and Looney Tunes. You poor kids missed all the decent cartoons. Pffft, don't talk down like everyone missed Tom & Jerry in favor of watching Cow and Chicken with I am Weasel. Both of which are quite possibly two of the most quintessential cartoons worth watching, after Tom & Jerry and The Banana Splits. Then again, one mustn't forget Top Cat or Scooby Doo, where are you?. Still, Moltar was a huge part of Toonami for me originally. I remember watching Dragonball (z) and Tenchi Muyo. I loved it every time they played Gundam, as I was a huge mecha fan. It's been a slow process of further depression on the topic of good, entertaining television. Starting with Toonami slowly growing worse, followed by the final nail in the coffin for Saturday Morning Cartoons.
Inyri
Sithy, you did not just suggest that I Am Weasel was a good cartoon. >.>
Aash Li
I am Weasel was atleast funny, compared to drivel like tom goes to the mayor or whatever it was called.
Inyri
If you're going to watch that style of animation at least watch Ren & Stimpy.

Ascendant_Justice
SQUIDBILLIES I hate that show with the utmost passion. I used to watch Toonami quite a bit. Seeing this topic brought back a lot of memories. I think this is the first time I've heard that word in a couple years :\. I still remember the segment that showed the first TOM dying against that blob thing I never really stopped liking Toonami, but I sort of just stopped watching Cartoon Network altogether as I got older. That was accelerated when CN started going down the drain. I think I started realizing that when Dexter's Lab took on that horrid new art direction with coincidentally horrible episodes accompanying it. Up until now I thought that Jacuzzi or Gaguzzi or whatever the hell it was called had taken over Toonami. I was surprised to see that it was just now cancelled. Rachel_Ewok
Stopped caring about Cartoon Network and so on the day they stopped showing Dexter's Laboratory and Cow And Chicken! Same here. And... The Powerpuff Girls. I grew up with that show- along with Scooby Doo. =P As for Toonami... Hmm, I think I used to watch Code Lyoko... But I don't even remember if that was on Toonami or not- I must say I miss seeing that little announcer guy on the spaceship. He was cool.
zelda 41
Anyone remember Mike, Lu, and Og? I loved that show. Or Sheep in the Big City? I was only 5 when I watched that show, so I liked it. Aash Li
Or Johnny Bravo. OMG yes... that show cracked me up so much. Like that one episode where he was teleported into space by aliens to play in some game show with an alien regis philbin. He ended up winning the game because he was so stupid. I was laughing so hard my sides were hurting. Here we are... funniest episode of the last season: "Third Dork from the Sun" http://www.trilulilu.ro/alecsutz/cd5ec1822233cb "Haha! Next time you try to suck out someones mind, you should make sure he has one! ...wait that didnt come out right..."
