LordOfTheFish
So far, the only things that are know about a possible upcoming Batman movie is that Christian Bale will remain as Batman/Bruce Wayne. The Full Story.
Litofsky
While this is great and all, the site mentioned that only Bale has signed on- not even Christopher Nolan (Director) has told if he'll return or not. So, for now, nothing really has been decided, but I do hope that they make a third movie on par or above the Dark Knight.
jonathan7
I thought the article was a bit like saying World Cup confirmed for 2016!

Nolan has obviously shown he has the skill to produce great films. Switching directors may kill some of the enthusiasm about a new movie. Switching directors may kill some of the enthusiasm about a new movie. I would hope they wouldn't do a film without Nolan (though they will as its a cash cow) - hopefully he'll sign on! I just think it would go badly wrong without him, though I think Bale has had an influential role in the formation of this Batman, and has said he wouldn't do one with a 'Robin' - spoils the brooding, injured, heroic loner Batman they've created. Bah, no Robin.

Jeff
Villains I'd like to see: Angelina Jolie as Catwoman, **** yeah. She would be so perfect for that role, and there are rumors floating around about it. I also like the rumors about Johnny Depp as the Riddler and Philip Seymour Hoffman as the Penguin, that would be a great trio.

As long as Nolan is directing it, I'm fine. And Bale as Bruce Wayne of course.

Trex
I also like the rumors about Johnny Depp as the Riddler and Philip Seymour Hoffman as the Penguin, that would be a great trio. Personally, I don't think they'll use the Penguin. The way Nolan has been doing it is to focus on the slightly more 'realistic' villains. Might be awkward to have a 'penguin man', but I guess it depends how they do it. Maybe a gangster who just so happens to have a big nose. As for the Riddler, how about David Tennant? Astor
While I would love another Batman, I can see a big problem - expectation. It's going to be hard to top The Dark Knight, and a third film could be crushed under the weight of it's expectations before it's even released. But then again, people said that Coppola would find it hard to top The Godfather...
CommanderQ
Yeah, the expectations will be very very high. It would also be saddening if they plan to continue a little on the Joker, nobody it would seem, could top Heath Ledger's performance, he was the best Joker ever. There is still a great possiblity though, that the guys creating it are very creative and create another Batman masterpiece, a very big possibility. Titanius Anglesmith
It surprised me how Jones and Carrey, both great actors, could've been so awful together in the same movie. But I definitely wouldn't mind seeing Depp or Tennant as the Riddler.
Hayden Kered
I honestly think they need to tone the Riddlers character down a bit and make him into more like the Zodiac Killer or Jack the Ripper. Some one who is only known by his letters and is never seen by the cops or Batman. I think Jim Carrey really screwed it up as the Riddler, he just seemed to much like he was trying to be the Joker! LordOfTheFish
Well, so far Nolan have given each character a sort of, new feel. They seem to have gotten a bit darker (especially the Joker), and the whole Batman story just got a lot more serious. It's like he took what was meant primarily for kids, and turned it in to something for an older audience.
