Taak Farst
In the 60s thru 80s - music was life for a lot of teens - does anyone here have fave music tracks/bands/solo singers from 1960 - 1990? Jailhouse Rock - Elvis Presley immediatly comes to mind with me, awesome song. - Hey pretty lady! In particular the songs used in Rocky films I - V are faves of mine, like burning hearts, eye of the tiger and hearts on fire.

SW01
Frank Sinatra, Frank Sinatra, Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin. Ha ha ha - I agree, Frank Sinatra Rulez! I was just listening to let it snow on the radio! Precisely right! My favourites by Sinatra were, in particular 'My Way', 'Mac the Knife', 'Bad, Bad Leroy Brown' and 'Chicago'. I have a load of others on my MP3 player, but those are my favourites. Dean Martin was always best in performance, as the drunk. The best was when he would sing three or four lines, and come to an instumental portion, then ask "How long have I been on?"

Alkonium
I may only be 18 now, but I can name a few from that era. Come Together by The Beatles (I sang that one on stage once) was probably my favourite.

TriggerGod
This, and anything by Black Sabbath (Yes, they formed in the 60's) Black Sabbath was god The Red Hot Chili Peppers were pretty good way back then. Before they sold out, that is. My dad was at a concert back then where they wore nothing but a sock. And you don't want to know where it was. Sabretooth
Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath (SABBATH BLOODY SABBATH **** YEAH), Led Zeppelin, Iron Maiden, Simon & Garfunkel, Bathory, Venom, Motorhead, Judas Priest. Maybe more, but these are the main guys for me at least.
Rabish Bini
Oh, I didn't notice the 60's through to 90's part. In that case, I have millions, I generally hate the "mainstream" music of today, sometimes I feel like I would've been better off being born 20 years ago, most of today stuff sucks. Anyways, the main ones: -Black Sabbath -Metallica -Iron Maiden -Judas Priest -Smashing Pumpkins -Blue Oyster Cult -Van Halen -The Who Hell, I can go on for days and still not exhaust very band, so I'll just say: probably more bands than you think. Rabish Bini
Eric Clapton Victory for Moeller, best guitarist to have ever lived, IMHO.
Astor
Fact: Glenn Miller > Beatles. I would of said Miller too, but the question was for the fifties onwards - and Miller died in '44. (Okay, so his band lived on, but he didn't). I'd say they're just about equal, personally.
Boba Rhett
I'm unclear on this - can we include bands from the 90s?
Rabish Bini
I'm unclear on this - can we include bands from the 90s? Well it says from the 60's to the 90's, and when people say 90's that includes from 1990 - 1999, so I'd say yes EDIT: Forget I said anything. mimartin
Victory for Moeller, best guitarist to have ever lived, IMHO.I'm sure a few would argue Jimmy Hendrix, but I'll say Clapton takes a back seat to Robert Johnson and I'd lose my status as a Texan if I didn't say Stevie Ray Vaughn. 1. Journey – Wheel In The Sky 2. 3. Under The Milky Way - The Church 4. 5. 6. Favorite Band: Journey Favorite Albums: Eddie Money – No Control, Pat Benatar – Crimes of Passion, The Cars – The Cars and Boston – Don’t Look Back.
