edlib
Holy f*ck! This is all your fault... you do realize that? In other newz: When did life to get to be such a headache? This show could be a COMPLETE disaster... Post-mortem in a couple hours...
Rebel Loyaltist
Indeed it is. But damn it, it's my best fault.

edlib
Show started. Show ended. Some stuff happened in the middle. I guess it was a success. I don't know... it was all a blur. But even though we pulled it off OK doesn't excuse how annoying some parts of it were (at least from the production 'moving stuff off and on...' standpoint, that is.) K_Kinnison
okay you are all off my Christmas card list for calling me a woman. FYI i am scoring some MAJOR points with my girl and it was already suggested that if she gets a house and I move up there we are probably going to be living together. To redeem my manhood, I am playing in a bonspiel (curling tourny) where at any one point there will be 10 beers on tap, and most of them being microbrews. Friday I have a game at 2:30p. Won't have a 2nd game likely until the later morning. So I am going to be partying quite hard. Drinking beer, scratching myself, belching and farting. If I get inebriated enough I might break out into a song something like this: In Heaven there is no beer That's why we drink it here And when we're all gone from here Our friends will be drinking all the beer. In Heaven there is no wine So we drink till we feel fine And when we leave this all behind Our friends will be drinking all the wine. In Heaven there is no fear So we worry too much here And we drink ourselves full of beer To help us when we deal with the fear.

edlib
I pretty sure I'd give one of them and/or submit to being a bit p-whipped right now... just as long as I was assured of getting some regularly as the trade off. Always trying to work an angle every time you leave the house gets fairly exhausting. Something regular is probably worth the sacrifice. I'm not someone who's that into the "thrill of the chase." Anyway: Took the afternoon off from work. Spent the day trying to catch up on all that stuff I let slip last weekend when I was having car issues. Some shopping and a haircut. Met M. for dinner in the evening... but we made it an early night: She has to go home and catch up on more work, and I have to get to work fairly early tomorrow. A nice Japanese restaurant just across town. I've never been there before. I'll have to go back.

K_Kinnison
wooo boy. Made it home. I lost track of the number of beers. Had about 6 oz of glenlivit 12 year scotch. I don;t normally get this sauced, but this is the one time during the year that I do. Fun fun fun times. Next game is 530p saturday.

It went fast and smoothly. Which makes me suspicious.

LukA_YJK
I love that movie!I liked War Games, too. Is it me getting sentimental, or 1980s movies were really good?
edlib
Replaced a light switch today. It went fast and smoothly. Which makes me suspicious.Hmmm... I saw a bumper sticker today that actually reminds me of... It said: "Wiring is NOT a hobby! Hire a licensed electrician!!!" But light switches are easy. Hot, neutral, ground. And they are generally standardized as far as size. Hard to get that wrong if you have at least half a clue, and know which is the business end of the screwdriver. I'm sure it will be fine. But you DO have 911 on speed-dial, right?
Keyan Farlander
Well, I've replaced light switches before. Plus four years of electrical engineering labs. So... But still, every time I try to do something around the house, something stupid goes wrong, and it takes more time and money than it should, like it was a defective switch or I realize after I put it in that I bought the wrong color or something. K_Kinnison
Yea, Glenlivet. Aka the standard for all Scotch whisky. Lost my third game. Played crappy. At least there is beer. might get hooked into a game of euchre or sheepshead before heading home. Oh and my Girl might have finally found a house she has been looking for, five bedroom, unfinished basement, 2 baths, 2 car garage. 110k in the outskirts of la crosse
edlib
Long day yesterday. The show ended at 10... but I didn't get home until after 1. The band had a reception to go to after the concert... so they left all their gear on the stage, and we had to wait until they came back. On the one hand: it's a couple of hours OT for me... but an early night would have been nice. Hanging out doing nothing for 2 hours, even when on the clock is no fun. edlib
No thanks... A 10 piece Klezmer band and all their biggest fans? Don't think I'd have much fun,.. even as a joke. Besides: They were supposed to be "Only a couple of minutes..." so I wanted to be by the stage door to let them back in as soon as they were finished. We all went down to the dressing-rooms and ate the left-over catering though.

edlib
Yesterday: It was a bit of an all Jewish weekend at work: an Israeli pop-star. Not quite as a long day as Sat. The band's sound engineer was a bit of a d-bag, however. Rubbed me the wrong way right from the start... but I survived it. Just got him set up, and then walked away... far away. And of course, I just can't help but feel fantastic about the fact that we had the best weather we've had around here in 6 months this weekend... and I spent all of it indoors working. Tired today. Glad I'm not doing the show tonight.
