K_Kinnison Posted November 10, 2010 Posted November 10, 2010 I'm not retarded. They jury is still in deliberations about that. (sorry, do not give anyone a straight line like that here)
Cmdr. Cracken Posted November 10, 2010 Author Posted November 10, 2010 Lol. I've made some pretty stupid decisions in my life (to which you've all beard witness to) but not completley game breaking......... like some people around here...*stares at r15*
Kuuki Posted November 10, 2010 Posted November 10, 2010 (I worked retail and fast food), and I'm not retarded. sure about that? "Ding! Fries are done!"

edlib Posted November 10, 2010 Posted November 10, 2010 Took the day off from work. Finally a 2 day weekend... on Wed./ Thurs... but still 2 whole days! Dentist appointment this morning. Then came home and took a nap. Just trying to chill. Still have laundry to tackle. I'll have to start that after some dinner. Spending the day tomorrow with the girlfriend (I'm still having trouble getting used to that idea... but there's really no denying it at this point...) and her kids. Probably going to see Megamind.
Zargon Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 i took the am off to play black ops. me and a buddy did a combat training match against bots for 2 hours, was fun, but wsh you could objective games that way as well isnetad of just TDM and FFA
Cmdr. Cracken Posted November 11, 2010 Author Posted November 11, 2010 @ed: you know as well as anyone here, screenshot or it didn't happen! Grats though with the gf thing.
Keyan Farlander Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 Nothing new here - still working hard and miserably lonely...the ideal combination
edlib Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 It's a combo I know all too well. Which is why, despite some reservations, I'm throwing myself wholesale into this new craziness... I've kinda decided to "Stop Worrying, and Love the Bomb" so to speak.
Keyan Farlander Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 New monitor arrived last night. Works great, so that's taken care of. The battery in my laptop may be dying, though. I'm not sure I care about that, though, since I plug it in 99% of the time. Also, my left rear turn signal is out. Le sigh...
edlib Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 Cars, houses, computers: the universe's biggest monetary black holes. Pop-operatic singer at work last night. Katherine Jenkins. Her voice was OK, the show was simple, and she was very easy on the eyes... but it was amazingly cheesy. Mary Black today. Should be simple as well.
Keyan Farlander Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 Ed, I know you're into racing games. Do you play with a wheel and pedals or just the controller?
K_Kinnison Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 Kinda scared. I am up with my Lady celebrating her Birthday. Downtown La Crosse was having their holiday open houses. We went to a jewlery store to look at rings. FINALLY we found a ring I could afford and she likes, and it was on sale. She was practically dancing around knowing we found it. We also found a matching ring for myself. Scary
edlib Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 Ed, I know you're into racing games. Do you play with a wheel and pedals or just the controller? So far I've been using the standard controller. I might buy a wheel at some point after I get GT5. But I imagine it will be like learning the games all over again. Unfortunately, there's no universal console wheel... so I'd have to buy one for the XBox, and a different one for the PS3. I'm buying most of my racing titles for PS now. I figure that will be the system to get the wheel if I have to choose. A lot more choices. There's only a couple of decent ones for the XBox. And they are all expensive. Why do you ask? Thinking about getting into it?
Keyan Farlander Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 So far I've been using the standard controller. Why do you ask? Thinking about getting into it? Not really. I used to enjoy racing games, but none of the recent ones I've tried has really done it for me. It seemed like it might be a funny party thing, though, if you had a couple wheel and pedals setups. Eh, maybe I'll check out Rock Band 3, though.
edlib Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 Have you seen the latest Rock Band controller? (This BBCode requires its accompanying plugin to work properly.)
Cmdr. Cracken Posted November 14, 2010 Author Posted November 14, 2010 Thats pretty awesome.... but I could just open my guitar cases......
Keyan Farlander Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 Have you seen the latest Rock Band controller? Yeah, that's kind of why I was interested. The Pro Mode guitar and keyboard. I certainly wouldn't buy it without the Squire. On the other hand, I could just...play those things for real. It's going to depend on how fun the experience actually is and who else I know who might be up for playing.
edlib Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 It seems like a good way to force me to practice, and learn some songs using a weird tablature program. It would be cool if they came up with a "Super Advanced" mode for trained musicians, and had the sheet music scroll by for each instrument. That would make you a killer sight reader in a hurry.
Kuuki Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 Thats pretty awesome.... but I could just open my guitar cases...... yeah but it would be a little easier on someone like me
edlib Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 Just got notification that the XBox repair is complete! We'll see how long it takes to get shipped back. Work last night was pretty easy. I have a day off... but no plans for a change. The lady is fighting a cold and exhaustion, so all plans are postponed. So I'll finish the laundry, do some shopping, some housework, and catch up on some rest... though not necessarily in that order.
Wildstar Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 (This BBCode requires its accompanying plugin to work properly.) This is a must-watch...I've never seen a Star Wars mash-up done from the Rebel POV that didn't include the main heroes (Luke, Han, Leia, et al) until now, and the video is very well done, besides.
K_Kinnison Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 I've never seen a Star Wars mash-up done from the Rebel POV that didn't include the main heroes (Luke, Han, Leia, et al) until now But Luke Liea, and Chewie were in it. Nice editing tho, didn't have the "Standby Ion control" lady
