Astor
Diff'rent Strokes star Gary Coleman dies at 42. Not terribly familiar with him on this side of the Atlantic, i'd seen him in a few things, but 42 is too soon.

urluckyday
Sucks that things turned out the way they did for him. Definitely a troubled individual with a serious anger problem. I think he hated himself for his acting part because he certainly didn't embrace any part of his childhood acting career... Still would never wish death on him, though. RIP. urluckyday
I guess I'm one of the few people who remember him in Different Strokes. What'chu talkin' about willis? Of course I remember him...but that was back when he was a cute little kid and before his major downfall into celebrity obscurity.
Darth Avlectus
I only remember him from diff'ernt strokes. Gary was most the reason to watch that show because he had/was such a character.

Q
God, this has been coming for a while. His poor health was apparent back in the 80s when the show was still on. This guy was smart and talented, but he never got a break beyond Diff'rent Strokes. Hell; his own parents ripped him off. RIP, man.
True_Avery
I guess I'm one of the few people who remember him in Different Strokes. I'm pretty sure that is where most people know him, but I try not to think of the two together since he hated his association with the show so much. Jae Onasi
I guess I'm one of the few people who remember him in Different Strokes. No, you're not the only one. I loved that show, even if he didn't. So many of the actors on that show have had such troubled lives and deaths. It's sad. RIP, Gary.
urluckyday
What'chu talkin' about willis? Say this to him in the street and he would flip out at you...happened to a lot of people apparently. He couldn't handle the fact that he became famous for that line and people wouldn't forget... Too bad. Wish he had turned out happier.
