LDR Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 I have no faith in any more LucasArts related media. They don't care about quality, only money. The only good recent stuff is TOR and the Force Unleashed I (II was horrid). It's seems that all the good Star Wars games were made before 2005 (KOTOR and earlier).
Q Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 I have no faith in any more LucasArts related media. They don't care about quality, only money. Sadly, that's the case with LucasAnything these days. It's what happens when dear leader falls to the dark side.
DarthParametric Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 http://www.g4tv.com/games/xbox-360/65371/kinect-star-wars/articles/76611/kinect-star-wars-hands-on-preview-may-the-funk-be-with-you/ Dancing Slave Leia? Dunno why they didn't just skip straight to a video of that. I'm sure that would help move a few more units than their current marketing strategy.
JAvatar80 Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 I lol'd hard at the Girly Vader video. Like...hard.
DarthParametric Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 [youtube=hd]GlxfRprusUo Seems like they made the Jedi part slightly less retarded than the horrible on-rails debut demo at E3 a couple of years ago, and the Rancor part is actually a great concept, but the whole thing just shows what an absolute gimmick motions controls are. All those games would be far better with traditional controls. And that Leia head model is just plain freaky looking.
Lynk Former Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 lol @ dancing slave leia *sighs* Don't care about any of those other parts, the visuals look great... but what really pisses me off is that because of this game we're never going to get a new Pod Racer game since the excuse will be "we did make a pod racing game, buy a Kinect!" Damn you all...
Blix Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 I would be more excited if I had that Kinect I wanted for Christmas
mimartin Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 I bought the game yesterday for a 11 year old. Only thing I want to try in the game is to play at least once as a Rancor. Kill enough of them in TOR and other Star Wars games, about time to see it from the other side.
Red Hessian Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 @Lynk I'll see your Lando Fever, and raise you a Boba Fett's AwesomeCrotch™
DarthParametric Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 Boba Fett's AwesomeCrotch™Awesome and Great apparently. Why isn't Lando dancing with Lobot?! It's an outrage!
Red Hessian Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 Speaking of Lobot dancing... (This BBCode requires its accompanying plugin to work properly.) I think we know where Lucasarts got that idea from
Giant Graffiti Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 clicky clicky Wow! This is amazing. These .gifs can only be improved by listening to Meco's Star Wars and Other Galactic Funk record. (This BBCode requires its accompanying plugin to work properly.) It's not my fault if you lose 45+ minutes of life listening to this, though.
Hawkstrong16 Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 This thread went from talking about some crappy game to pure awesome.. I now pronounce this thread derailed.
DarthParametric Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 I think Penny Arcade's Tycho described it best: "The experience I had while watching these videos was of a slowly but perpetually increasing intracranial pressure."
Giant Graffiti Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 Look, if you don't love seeing the Star Wars characters dancing, then we just can't be friends anymore.
Lynk Former Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 Slave Leia doing the Trash Compactor... http://www.kotaku.com.au/2012/04/the-kinect-star-wars-credits-are-22-minutes-long/ Wait... seriously? XD
Samnmax221 Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 Oh boy....Generic Star Wars game with gimmicky gameplay....you just will not believe how excited I am.. Add in "horrible derivative ****" in there, and I called this two years ago. Lucasarts turns 30 next month, what a wonderful way to celebrate.
