LordTrilobite
When I logged on to steam, I noticed that it was downloading an update for MI2:SE. I haven't checked ingame what the changes are yet. But someone on the Steam forums said it contained mostly audio files. For the bone song and the hintline on dinky. Could they really have fixed it? You can now hear the dinky jungle music in full aswell. Still no intro, though.
Threepwood4life
Basically its a patch fix for all the sound issues, I hope LucasArts didn't just focus on those responses to the sound issues from their Facebook page and hope they still will include the opening intro in another patch. LordTrilobite
Intro or no intro, it is a start.
Haggis
The intro is there now, but only in the classic version (so you have to press F1 right at the start of the game to see it).
Benny
The exe has been updated and theres a new wavebank - patch.xwb. It contains new audio cues for the bone song and the dinky helpline. The resource.pak file hasn't been touched - just the exe and audio.
s-island
So no music fix for classic mode? What was wrong with the helpline?
Benny
The intro is there in classic mode but if you switch back to new mode it'll jump forward to scabb in both modes.
Threepwood4life
Nearly there, they just need to add the intro into the special edition mode and everything should be okay. Although i hear theres still a music cue timing issue mainly at the Booty Island guardhouse scene with the LeChuck costume.
Thrik
Good that technical issues are being resolved unlike with the first SE. Still a shame that will seemingly permanently be stuck with some irritating problems.

Rosefull
Ooh, this sounds pretty great! Even if they haven't fixed everything yet, the fact that they did something is really a good sign. I have high hopes for the future of Monkey Island, haha. Now to go listen to the bone song...
SyntheticGerbil
Not that this impacts me, but there's no sign of timing changes on certain puzzles then?
TheJoe
Not that this impacts me, but there's no sign of timing changes on certain puzzles then? Min jiffies is still very much turned on. Puzzles will still be too quick, Captain Dread will still be too slow.
Thrik
Did anyone mention the min jiffies thing in their Facebook? Because that's where most fan-based complaints seem to be sourced from. Might be worth throwing that out there in case of a second patch.
Jeopando
I hope they keep this up. There's still a lot of patching to do. I guess people haven't complained enough about the Mardi Gras music since at least that's still a bit broken. I'm not talking about the design choice to muffle the music in Villa de la Booty but about the way the music sometimes just stops at the party itself. That's such a nice scene and this ruins it a bit.
LordTrilobite
Not that this impacts me, but there's no sign of timing changes on certain puzzles then? Actually, I didn't have any problems with the wind in the spitting contest, or with Lechuck at the end. It felt like I had plenty of time.

Why don't we stoop down to the level of lameness and just get as many comments on there as possible and see if we manage anything. For...experimental purposes. s-island
What does min jiffies have to do with the timed puzzles going by too quickly?
TheJoe
What does min jiffies have to do with the timed puzzles going by too quickly? It's only an assumption. Thinking about it, it's probably wrong. Also, according to a post at Telltale forums, the puzzle timings are fixed, as well as the credits edited somewhat. So apparently, the resource file must have been touched. elTee
We should hopefully obtain a full listing of the alterations made with this patch shortly
TheHutt
I still hope they will deliver a correct intro sometime in the future. Though it would probably mean having to get a new budget for doing the necessary graphics work which would be probably tough.
elTee
The list is in: - Adjusted timing delays for certain puzzles - Fixed missing music in Dinky Jungle - Fixed music synching issue with the Bone Dance sequence - Fixed various music cross-fading issues - Added intro and outro credits sequences to the Classic version - Added acceleration curve to cursor speed - Increased volume level of “Classic” Chester

Which some guy did on Youtube in about 10 minutes.
Snugglecakes
How I miss the days where you could just download an exe patch. To apply to the game you installed from disks. Nope. They only need to make a HD Guybrush and HD borders. Which some guy did on Youtube in about 10 minutes. Those borders would take a LOT longer than 10 minutes!
