My heart is telling me to rejoice and be optimistic. My brain is telling me there's no hope.
Boba Rhett Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 Oh boy, the Lego Star Wars games are going to look great on the unreal 3 engine. ...
Lynk Former Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 Star Wars: Dark Forces REMAKE OMG! It's gonna be so awesome!!... ... ...
Primogen Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 Star Wars Jedi Knight 3 would be much, much better than a remake of Dark Forces. Seriously, remakes are terrible.
Lynk Former Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 You've been playing all the wrong remakes it seems. But that's beside the point... I was just screwing around.
Sabretooth Posted April 27, 2011 Author Posted April 27, 2011 Did you guys notice the bit where it says "multiple projects"? Yeah, they're in it for the long haul. It could very well be a whole new franchise, or a longer-term continuation of an existing one, in which case Jedi Knight or Battlefront would be both prime candidates. There is always the possibility, of course, a The Clone Wars shooter. :/

And here i am hoping, kinda of excited, against my better judgement... again
Lynk Former Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 New Indiana Jones, you heard it here first! (lol, i have to stop doing that)

Sabretooth Posted April 27, 2011 Author Posted April 27, 2011 Special Edition is a special edition, not really a remake.
Alexrd Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 Sabretooth said: Special Edition is a special edition, not really a remake. Many call them remakes. And in my opinion, that's what it is, despite the 'Special Edition' title.
Primogen Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 Sorry, no, remakes are terrible even when they're well made. I'd rather play a -new- game than a game I've played before but with shinier graphics. A remake is -lazy-.
Lynk Former Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 New games can be just as lazy because they turn out EXACTLY like the games that came before it. Therefore, EVERY game is terrible. Hurrah.

Prime Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 XWA Upgrade makes XWA still awesome. I fail to see how doing that at a professional level would suck.

I myself have never played Dark Forces or Tie Fighter games (please, don't kill me), but I would if it was given an makeover. But I prefer original game as well, of course. As long as it's more Republic Commando original than The Force Unleashed original.
