mimartin Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 As far as I know, beyond some joking, there has been no discussion of changing the name or closing down this place. While LucasArts is no more, there will still be future Star Wars games and hopefully non-Star Wars LA franchise games. The recent years not withstanding, LucasArts had a rich history of producing some very memorable games over its life. No reason to act like it never happened just because Disney decided to go in a new direction. Most of us grew up playing and loving these games, Disney can not cannot cancel that. Plus Lynk will not leave for us to turn out the lights.

They existed, they made a mark in gaming history and we'll still be around to honour their memory. In addition, any new Star Wars games made will still be part of our domain of interest. LucasArts may be gone but the LucasArts Fan Network will endure on... ...good enough answer for you?

Vindikorr Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 Considering technically LucasArts hasn't 'shut down' but has changed to a licensing company, ie giving out the rights to use the star wars franchise for other companies like they did with BioWare and The Old Republic, I very much doubt these forums will be leaving anytime soon.
