Only 25 days until The Two Towers!! Anyways so I couldn't find any thread talking bout this much hyped movie so I decided to start one. Is everyone excited about this movie? Anyone not excited  ? Opinions? Thoughts? Personally I can't wait for the movie to come out (see sig.). The special effects look and awesome and *gasp* not fake like AOTC, IMHO. Post what you think about the movie and book.

P.S.: someone edit my poll plz and take away the little slashes it looks messed up

I can't wait to go see it either. Me and my friends are going to see it when it comes out. I haven't really read the books but I have a couple of friends that have read them.

I think that there are many reasons for that. LOTR has a lot to do with Earth or with Middle-Earth which is like a very ancient Earth. There are really no scenes were you do not see something from this Earth with the exception of Mordor which looks like hell or something a little bit like that. It is also a dark movie so the CGI is hard to tell whether it is or not. AOTC was more brighter and wasn't as dark. That was why the CGI didn't look very convincing all the time. We are also talking about a far off Galaxy. We had to see things that were completly out of this world and that you would never see here.

My friend Kyle hadn't seen FOTR untill probally a couple of weeks ago. He said that it was good but that he thought that it would of been a little better. So many things that weren't in the film that were in the book from what he said.

It was in response to RATMJedi, and his comments about how LOTR looks real, compared to AOTC. I was just mentioning that Tolkien actually created Middle Earth to become England's myths and legends, since they have none of their own. Their most known one is an adaptation, and not necessarily real life...

ARRRR... so close yet still so far away... but i'm counting days down til then. This one will have much more action than the first part of the trilogy and will be more exciting. The scene i'm looking forward to is definitely the Sacking of Isengard by the ents.

Did you know Tolkien originally started writing Lord of the Rings as a vessel for the languange he inveted (elvish)?

I am sorta excited. The first one was okay and saw the preveiw on the DVD. I am sorta excited because when my parents were in school, they didn't read the Lord of the Rings series like everyone else did in those days. If they did read them, we will be crazed to see it.:)
