Luc Solar
Clockwork Orange. It was very weird and I hated it. It was weird like the "art" where a monkey has thrown poo on a canvas. A good weird movie --> Bad Taste.

C'jais
Solaris. Never in a movie did it make so little sense for the camera to focus on a dark, motionless shoulder in a dark room. Never in a movie did you want to shoot yourself to end the 3-hour torture. Never in a movie were you so baffled by the complete lack of any semblance to a coherent plot that you either were convinced you had just seen the worst crap in 30 years, or art on a scale so high you couldn't even hope to comperehend it. Watching Solaris was as close to being a religious experience that I'll ever get.

Darklighter
I'm gonna have to agree ET and XERXES and say Fight Club. It's my favourite movie ever (besides Blade Runner, which was kinda wierd too:)). Though after the 20th time watching the film, there isn't a lot of the film you don't understand;)lol

I think why people hate fight club so much is because it shows that materialism is bad, and these days all people are about is materialism. In my opinion, if you didnt like fight club, its cause you didnt understand it, unless you just truly cant take the fighting
C'jais
Okays, now I gotta hear why everyone apparently thinks Fight Club's end was so weird-arse. Is it the whole "split personality" deal that baffles you? Is it that Norton apparently shoots himself in the mouth and survives? Is it that there's no logical explanation for blowing all that stuff up in the end? So, wha' issit?
Darklighter
Haha! Well said XERXES;) It's true though. The director/writer of Fight Club made a very bold statement in creating the film about materialism. What I find ironic and very contradictory however is how Brad Pitt's character in the film displays these views, and yet in real life, we all know how materialistic he really is:)lol Tyler Durdan: We were raised by television to believe that we'd be millionaires and movie gods and rock stars -- but we won't. :Dlol

Darklighter
Originally posted by Sivy B i love fight club - to me its really quite straight forward I agree, though it did take me two viewings to understand everything. Like the first time through, you wouldn't have noticed the reason why they're suitcases were the same on the plane;)lol It is just a very, very cleverly made film, designed to test how well you notice the smallest details that the director has put in there. Plus it's just friggin' hilarious:Dlol TYLER: Oh, yeah, you gotta start making the list. JACK: What list? TYLER: The "now I get to go out and buy the exact same stuff all over again" list. That list. JACK: I don't... think so. Hehe:DBtw, not sure if anyone else noticed, but does Ed Norton's character actually have a name in the story? I don't remember anyone mentioning it... XERXES
i just think people are seriously scared of fight club, they dont wana face the truth that materialism is a large problem...they dont wana face the fact that everything doesnt go their way. and btw, norton shot himself in the head, however the bullet exited near his ear...and get this, movies are really bad at portraying bullets and guns, i mean look at those real life shows...people have survived steaks in their heads and other nasty things that you would think would certianly cause death...
