Praetorian Posted February 14, 2003 Posted February 14, 2003 I wonder if this is really true. I found it on a friend's guild forums for Anarchy Online.
swphreak Posted February 14, 2003 Posted February 14, 2003 Holy crap! If that's true, that guy is so stupid!
Zygomaticus Posted February 14, 2003 Posted February 14, 2003 Well obviously he didn't know... Atleast he's alive.
Surfnshannon Posted February 14, 2003 Posted February 14, 2003 all i see is a square....am i missing something?
Praetorian Posted February 14, 2003 Author Posted February 14, 2003 it's a picture of a clipped out news article here's the address http://madblast.com/media/picture/9_11_divorce.jpg
Reborn Outcast Posted February 14, 2003 Posted February 14, 2003 HAHA that is one of the worst things that could happen to a guy...
Darth Homer Posted February 15, 2003 Posted February 15, 2003 Hate to break it to you guys, but this is a joke...I heard it a month or so after the event...it was one of the first attempts at lightening the mood and I thought at the time that it wasn't very funny, though I see it's humorous qualities now. I mean, seriously, if you were in New york how could you NOT have heard...
Dagobahn Eagle Posted February 15, 2003 Posted February 15, 2003 Nah, didn't see the humour in that after trying to lighten this girl I really care about up after her parents divorced. My god, she was crushed. But okay, in hindsight, it was funny.

Nitro Posted February 17, 2003 Posted February 17, 2003 Fake. Instant classic, but fake nontheless. What gave it away was the way it was written. I've taken some journalism courses, and do freelance work for the local papers, and (twice so far) for the National Post, and that sounds more like a grade 10 english report than a news article. Aside from the sentance structure, there some other obvious examples in his choice of words: "guy" would be "man", "girlfriend" would be "mistress" or something along those lines. Also, there would most likely be names given, as you can't get a press ban on divorce notices.
Reborn Outcast Posted February 19, 2003 Posted February 19, 2003 Aww well to bad it was fake. It was funny though.
Jared Posted February 24, 2003 Posted February 24, 2003 If that is real, thats just wrong. But, his wife should have kept in mind he would have been dead if he hadn't been cheating on her lol.
