Benny Posted February 24, 2003 Posted February 24, 2003 Look at them, ugly as a very ugly thing. You could almost believe they'd been knocked up in 5 minutes in psp. Anyway, design me a new logo, perhaps keeping the screwdriver theme (perhaps not, do what you want with the logo) and you shall be richly rewarded with my undying gratitude erm...points. Yes, you can have them all because I sure as hell dont want em. 178 at the time of writing. I was thinking on the train home 'what can I offer people that I dont really want, is fairly crappy but that some people love?' The answer was obvious.
Gabez Posted February 24, 2003 Posted February 24, 2003 And just to sweeten the deal, I’ll be adding my points too. So that’s about a total of 500 big ones you could walk away with!
scabb Posted February 24, 2003 Posted February 24, 2003 Yes, I too shall contribute my credits toward this noble cause. Providing of course, that the logo is good, and is snapped up by Benny.
Benny Posted February 24, 2003 Author Posted February 24, 2003 How can anyone resist now? Thats 828 points. Thats enough for a change of username, a glowing username and this Beautiful Old Staffordshire Minature Mug
Metallus Posted February 24, 2003 Posted February 24, 2003 I'll match however many points are offered up by people in this thread, because I haven't abused my powers in well over an hour.
Gabez Posted February 24, 2003 Posted February 24, 2003 And just to make this even more irresistible, I’m going to give the full version of Grom (worth over thirty quid or so) to the best one! Providing it’s better than the already existing captions of course. What’s Grom I hear you cry? Well: "Grom is a truly epic game by developers Rebelmind that will provide players with loads of pure adventure, a slice of humour, and a touch of mystery to arouse the imagination. It's an aadventure game combining an in depth storyline and tactical real-time combat. It’s easy to get into and combines a powerful interface with a blockbuster movie feeling." But is it any good? WWHS gave it 4/5! PC Gamester gave it 81%! The answer is yes! So you could win that too. Get logo designing, pronto.
QueZTone Posted February 24, 2003 Posted February 24, 2003 banner like icon like - all white icon like - colored Let me know what you think..
Gabez Posted February 24, 2003 Posted February 24, 2003 Wow, those are really nice QueZTone. I like the gears Maybe a bit bigger though?
Remi Posted February 24, 2003 Posted February 24, 2003 Too tired to make anything good. I do however find it amusing. :~
QueZTone Posted February 24, 2003 Posted February 24, 2003 Gabez, ill make a bigger version of it tomorrow Remi, lol
Metallus Posted February 24, 2003 Posted February 24, 2003 I'm wondering if the use of the Golden Guy should be avoided in the Q+E logo, since that is probably some sort of infringement.
Benny Posted February 24, 2003 Author Posted February 24, 2003 Hmm maybe, then again ScummRev ripped off golden guy and got away with it. On balance its probably better not to use it.
murta Posted February 24, 2003 Posted February 24, 2003 Maybe a picture of Britney Spears with "Quick And Easy" underneath, would that work?
Feral Posted February 24, 2003 Posted February 24, 2003 There you go...not very good, but allright, I suppose.
Huz Posted February 25, 2003 Posted February 25, 2003 Gabez's offer of that Grom thing almost made me put in an entry myself. Then I thought, nah. I'll offer my points to the winner as well, however many of the damn things I have. (EDIT: 61! How can you resist?!) Incidentally, this thread has caused me to click on so many "new window" image links that scrollbars have appeared on my Windows taskbar for the first time ever - well, without me deliberately opening billions of things, that is.
mercatfat Posted February 25, 2003 Posted February 25, 2003 I'll toss in my hundred whatever points, too, however I require that the logo be an animated gif. Hell, I'll give a hundred points to the first person to post an animated logo that isn't total crap.
Jake Posted February 25, 2003 Posted February 25, 2003 Here's my ridiculous first attempt. Its main faults are that it has nothing to do with LEC or being a tool/utility program, both of which should negate it from the race. Its main strong point is that it is shiny, and looks sorta like an old movie or cereal title.
QueZTone Posted February 25, 2003 Posted February 25, 2003 That's very slick indeed, Jake Very stylish, like you said, like a movie
