The_One
...or is LucasForums becoming a government propaganda recruitment tool for the United States army? All I seem to get are U.S. army adverts. Do they seem to think that a bunch of Star Wars geeks can fight in their un-neccessary and un-just wars? Or is this just another cynical and sarcastic post from The_One? Pedantic
Well, seeing as I see those ads everywhere on the 'net, I plead the latter.

Taos
I'm sure UGO is getting paid well to run these ads by the army and navy. I sure notice them, but with one click, they're gone and no longer bothering me.

swphreak
well some can be stopped by the popup stopper. Like at the official site. Sometimes you can't click close right away.... and I like that game. It's kinda fun

Pisces
Just you. They got some ads out for the army...yippee. Just point, click, done. Besides, if you're good enough at it, you shouldn't even get the time to see what the ads about.

Marketing is a huge business in which mutual parties can benefit from. In exchange for advertising, they help pay for everything, like billboards, sports......everything. Just like you can't watch your favorite TV programs without commercials, but you can mute them. Download Panicware's Pop-Up Stopper free from download.com and all your problems will be solved. As a side note, I would much rather see the ARMY adds than some of the smut that has been thrown our way in the past. Like those BMXXX ads, and that annoying animated chick that used to say "don't break up with your girlfreind, let me do it for you....";)

Yes,download that! It's a godsend, really. Barely any popups have come my way. And as for the banners that talk(like the one that says "Alpha Bravo Charle Delta Foxtrot"), I have learned to keep sound off unless I'm playing a game, watching a trailor, or listening to music(from my computer,of course). That has also saved some sanity from those "Look closely" sites...
