ThunderPeel2001
Here's the reply I just got from Steve Purcell when I asked him about his involvement with the new SNM game and about the old Infinity Machine one: Yeah, I am consulting on the game. Although the concept art shows a space station, the story has nothing to do with the Infinite Machine version. That one was based on a story that I worked out years ago called Sam & Max Plunge Through Space that I would still like to do as a comic or film project since it's such an epic saga. I did all the concept art that Infinite Machine had on their website. On the LucasArts site most of the art is done by other members of the awesome team but I did the guy in the beret and red jacket. I like the 3D version of Sam & Max but I'm also using the game as an opportunity to get some kind of comics project going so there could be some 2D Sam & Max in the near future, too. I tried to send this to the peeps at MixNMojo news but their stupid email addresses aren't working -- how frustrating So hopefully they'll see this instead and put it on the main page!! Interesting, eh? ~ John

elTee
Ah well done! This is good to know. It means that whatever kind of game it is, even if its an FPS, it will still have the humour!
Joshi
Ooh, didn't anyone see the interview with Purcell in PCGamer (it was posted on the unofficial SamnMax site) it mentioned his involvement there. Here's a link (not going to post the pic, too big) http://www.samandmax.net/images/purcellinterview.jpg This should be of some interest to those who haven't seen it yet. enjoy Oh, and Thunderpeel, great, thanks for the info Peace Neil

ThunderPeel2001
Well "the Collector" was a bad guy in a halloween episode of the Simpsons. ("The Collector" has actress Lucy Lawless trapped in her Xena garb) Collector: Care for a Rollo, sweet Xena? Lawless: All right Collector, stick this in your tweezers - I'm not Xena! I'm an actress, you lunatic! Collector: Oh, please, I'm not insane. I simply wish to take you back to my lair to be my bride. Lawless: Oh, dear God!
