rut-wa jodar
I feel that their is an awful lot of stortline needed to connect Episode III to Episode IV. How is George Lucas gonna make this possible ?

Taos
Gah, probably rumors more then anything at this point. GL has two years before the movie comes out.....I'm sure it will be fine.

Nah, it's general off-topic stuff about Star Wars, it fits just nicely in here;) I do agree jodar, there's gonna need to be a helluva lot of effort put in to fill all the gaps in the story. There's so much in the Star Wars saga right now that hardly makes any sense, due to this big gap missing in the story. I agree with Leemu though, knowing Lucas, he'll do his very best to ensure that everything is resolved clearly. I mean he's been waiting to make this final movie for 30 years, he's gonna go out with a bang, that's for certain;)

It is common knowledge that Padme dies when Luke and Leia ar very young. I always thought that the starwars saga was supposed to span 9 Episodes ?? The movies wouldn't be as good if George didn't make them anyways.....
Surfnshannon
well...it isn't necessarily common knowledge that padme will die in this movie. she's supposed to be pregnant with the twins and leia was old enough to remember her...so ...unless we do some wierd time goes really fast movie...I doubt she will die in this movie. Antilles_CL
Yeah and there's some EU canon sumwhere talking about how Luke sets off to find out what happend to his mother and he finds out that she was with a clan on Tattione or sumtihng, but she died b4 he got there and was able to attend her funeral. It was in a book i believe. Forgot which one.
Chewbacco
Originally posted by ZBomber 1. Padme might not die 2. There won't be any movies after ep.3. I thought Anakin turned into the dark side because he was attached to padme. If she was killed, his mind will be full of hatred and anger. I hope this movie will have less noticable computer graphic than Episode II. And nearly three hours long.
Thrackan Solo
They will probably do one o those "four years later" things near the end of the movie and show Padme die(somehow)
Darklighter
Ack, they better not do anything like that x_x It's never been done in a Star Wars movie, and now is no time to start ^^ Those massive time jumps are great for breaking the tension/suspense in the story, so the film would be better off without. STTCT is right, in ROTJ Leia describes her mother as "Very beautiful, kind, but sad..." - this would suggest that Luke and Leia were at least 2-4 years old to know this information. They will probably show the birth, and the separation of the twins, but that's about it.

Joetheeskimo
This is a good discussion...I actually think this should be in the Senate Chambers..but oh well. Anyway, I agree with everyone. Episode III, if it works out well, is gonna be one heck of a show! I wonder if there will be a movie after ROTJ? (Actually, not likely...the books have started where it left off, like The Courtship of Princess Leia.)

This bad feeling is shared by me also.... Not being a great fan of the PT to date (I like it, but then I get comparing it to OT, and its all down hill from there...) And Padme MUST die! If she doesn't, then where does she end up.... i just hope that GL is on top form, cause if he balls this up, and then DOES go ahead and 'bring the OT/SET in line with the PT', it could be the last we see of his beardy ol' mug! ET Warrior
Originally posted by rut-wa jodar here are just a few things that must be in episode III The Clone Wars Actually, According to Rick McCallum I believe, Episode III will begin with the last battle of the clone wars. So that won't take too much time to cover.
