Ok, well I have been following the news about Enter the Matrix because I am a Matrix nut! :p I have read every review out there and I'm short on cash and am wondering if I buy it will I be blowing it? Most reviews just say its decent unless you are a huge fan it might be different; and I am. I am hopefully going to get a chance to play it tomorrow at my friends house but in the meantime what do you guys think of it?

Oh man you caaan....believe me! I have the game for the gamecube..... just pressing the 'L' key then Joystick forward and run diagonal towards a wall...then you keep running along the wall a bit (make sure that there's an oponent next to you) press the 'X'-key and kick him down:D

Often successful if the enemy is in front of you...and you have a crate or a wall next to you;)

So...Enter the Matrix :grnbounc:

You know I'll be honest. When you played like me many games in your life(hope this doesn't sound too arrogant)...for the first time you play it, it's more then awsome.

But you get used to it....So when you have finished some levels you might loose the beginning enthusiasm.

But this changes not the fact that it is a really good game which is worth of buying it.

Also there's this hacking thing you can do (you might seen the hacking thread here at the swamp). I only opened a few things so far...not a special level or another player model.

But this should be possible. I read there from MPlevels. That you can set free (don't know better to explain it in english, sorry) the Dojo-Training level, playing with Neo, having a sword.

These things (if they are possible) should be enough motivation to play through the game. It's cool.

I'm now at the level where you have to protect other fellows that they can leave the matrix....

I've heard it sucks ass, my friend has played it and he said that the controls are crap, its way too short and once you complete it and get multiplayer you'll most probably not play it again until the next matrix game..

But I havent played it so don't ask me! :D

:fist: [man I love that smilie!]

I want the game for PS2, but before I bought it, I rented it out.

I suggest possibly renting it out first, but the downfall is spoiling the suprises of the gameplay.

I've rented it out twice and still haven't completed it. :D

(I'm on the "Rabbit Hole" one)

I definetly think the game is worth it, but if you go past the "rules" of the game, it gets aggitating.

For example, if you don't follow the route and go 5 feet off track or fall down 3 feet, you fail the mission.

It reminds me completely of Syphon Filter.

There's no multiplayer, just the single-player missions.

You can't even play as any of the main characters like Neo. :(

It's a good game, I plan to get it cheap for PS2.

I can't wait for Matrix Online. :D

this game as a story filler is allright, but as an actual game its a big piece of crap.it's just another licensed game trying to make money off the matrix franchise.the AI is bad and enemies will sometimes run into walls, there are some clipping problems, and it's stupid that your health regenerates while you stand around doing nothing, so basically you can run away and hide in a corner and just heal up. Also there isnt much variety between the 2 characters. the only thing that makes them different is in some missions where you either drive or shoot in the ship, all the dialouge is basically the same, so it's not worth it to replay the whole game again if it's the same. besides a few missions, both characters play basically the same. The environments are also very screwed up. Some places are so dark that you have no idea where the heck you're going, and some are so huge with only a small amount of enemies, that the gigantic size is unneccessary. And perhaps the worst part of Enter the Matrix is the camera. Third person shooters and cameras just don't mix. Half of the time, I am stuck in a corner with no idea how the heck to get out. Sometimes I have actually LOST LIVES because of camera glitches where I get caught in between two objects and Ghost appears to have a seizure. and the multiplayer is sucky- you cant choose your characters, there's no focus, the maps are really huge, and the camera angles frustrate me!

this is a very average game, not worth all the hype.

I love it. I've played through as Niobe and am now playing through as Ghost. ^_^

I think if you're expecting this to be alot like a normal game, you're gonna be disappointed. It just doesn't play like one. Oh and Easy mode---really is Easy. ^^;

You should also make sure you've at least seen Matrix: Reloaded and Final Flight of the Osiris to understand what's going on in the game, though. Otherwise you could get very confused. ^_^

Lightsaberboy, I think either you're insane, your console is broken, or you have it for some other platform than Gamecube and that version is just a crappy one. Cuz I've had none of those problems you mentioned, ever. o.O

The only things I've had is that it tends to crash for seemingly no reason. Very rare, but the frequency is still at least triple your average game. ^_~

Oh and about the levels being huge? Follow the magic arrow, silly. :D

I must say I don't like the multiplayer, though. Why? Cuz you can't do Focus (bullet-time). And you neeed Focus to do all the kewl stuff! ;_;

I thought it was spiffy :), I like putting on cheats, going to the airplane level with the Agent and just beating the snot out of him using all the cool focus moves :p hehe. I like the multi-opponent hand to hand fighting too, it's wicked awesome. :D

I recently got the game, and I really love it, but who doesnt?

I completed it yesterday, but when I was going to see the oracle with Niobe, and she got to Sarephs Tea House, I lost thw fight and was sent back out to the tunnels of the real. Ever since I lost that fight this question has been bugging me. Did I miss out a level or something important or cool?

Thats basically my only question and I appriciate all the help that I can get + I might be back for good now ;).
