A doggy minutes silence...

Recommended Posts

My dog, Jedda (Jedda is the short version of an Aboriginal name,

it has nothing to do with Jedi you damn geeks...), was put down

the other day, she had a tumour in her throat... well she became

the loudest barking dog in the country to the quietest so fast we

didn't notice till it was too late... well anywayz, I was bored today

so I just created this image... it's not the best two photo's of my

dog but *shrugs* eh, what can ya do...

See ya Jedda... enjoy doggy heaven...

You've had her for over 10 years, wow...

My girlfriend's dog is 9 years old and she's still toodling along pretty well. I know I'd be hearbroken if she was to ever be put down.

My dog is 2 and pretty damn stupid. I don't think I'd cry if he got put down. :p

Sorry to hear about your dog, Lynk. I'm 100% sure she's happy where she is.

I, too, have lost a pet recently. One of my kitties, the tom cat Mickey, got trapped in the pumphouse where I live. He wasn't fixed, and had a tendency to *take off* for days at a time...and unfortunately, kitties can't go without water for very long. By the time we found him, it was too late. :(

All I can do to try to make good on the horrible way he died is to tell all cat owners I know: when your kitty is missing, check even the stupid places. Cats are curious, and will dart in an open door without your noticing. If the door happens to be to a building on the edge of your property where you rarely go, please bear this in mind.

Anyway, my way of dealing with this tragedy in my life has been to adopt a new kitty. :) Little 'Frito" is a ball of fluff who somehow chases three bigger kitties outside by wanting to play. I can't bring Mickey back, but I can give the love and opportunity to have a good home that would have been his to a new kitty who needs it. The cycle of life...goes on.

Awwww. My condolences Lynk. Poor Jedda. ='(

I had a collie/alsatian cross breed puppy named Cheeka for a while when I was a teenager, but I had to give her to my friend when I moved house because no pets were allowed at my new home. I cried my eyes out. ='(

I remember my first dog. Fell off the roof, caught his leg in the ladder, broke it and we had to put him down. Suicidal bastard. :(

Anyway, sorry to hear about it Lynk. Looks like a playful doggie. Or at least the kind that's generally playful.
