Acrylic
(I dont know if anyone wrote a review on this yet, but I wanted to give my review) Last Night I saw the movie DareDevil. First off, I must say, the movie rocks. It has plenty of action from beginning to end. Except...in the middle, where theres a "intimate" scene with DD and Elektra Nachios (sp?). But, the movie goes through alot explaining how he got blind and how he was able to cope with it, and how he learned to do all the things he did in the movie. Like I said, the movie has alot of action, and there are some gns, but not much, which makes it interesting, since theres more "fist fighting" so to speak, than gun fights. And, to me, there was really nothing bad about the movie, except for the fact that there was maybe one or two cheesy phrases. So, for those 2 cheesy phrases, I'l take of .2 points. Total Score = 9.
[RAA]-=Chi3f=-
I hate it when they feel the need to put in cheesy phrases in action movies. I like the subtle jokes that you might miss the first time (like in T2 when the T2000 looks at the silver maniquin (sp) and frowns). Anyway the only thing that stopped me from seeing this is that it has Ben "the Aflec-duck" Aflec in it. If you say it's good then I'll go watch it. Oh, and by gns do you mean "good nude scene"? Sivy
i thought it was very good. i not really a big fan of daredevil so i didn't like it as much as spider-man or x-men. but i look forward to seeing the sequel, which no doubt they'll probably make. -=DarkZero=-
The second DD is going to be better, I mean whats better then kingpin getting out of jail and looking for revenge?! And we can't forget the electra movie Although the two movies I'm waiting for out of marvel is Ghost rider(04) and Spider-man 3 with venom! boinga1
I think daredevil is a cooler cgaracter than spider-man, but I liked the spider-man movie more tha I liked DD. For one thing, DD was only an hour and a half long, when most action movies ar eat least 2 hrs. today. Also, there was just not enough DareDevil in it. P.S. Bulleye's awesome! Pisces
I saw it a long time ago and forgot how good it was until I saw it yesterday. I also like how Elektra dies, not saying I wanted her ded but at least it's a movie that isn't all happy ending guy gets the girl and such. (Granted Spider-man didn't get the girl but he chose not to)
ET Warrior
I loved DareDevil. The action was good, the story was good, the actors were good. Bullseye was probably the coolest villian i've seen in a comic-book movie YET. Maybe in almost ANY movie.....he was badass.
RoguePhotonic
It was ok but to many scenes where you could totally tell they were on a wire...like jumping across a building they would float down... And all that **** about daredevil freefalling off buildings and stuff...he doesn't have anything that would help when he lands but he does it anyway I like how he can see sound.... toms
i'd give it a 6 out of ten. It was perfectly acceptable... but in every respect reminded me of spiderman, and in every respect seemed just not quite as good. I thought they spent too long on the flashback character background... felt like half the film. Far worse than Hulk in that respect. I also felt they didn't do much to build up kingpin so you thought he had any chance against daredevil. I would have rather they reduced the time wasted on the whole 25 odd years of his life and gave more time to the elektra plot. I liked the idea of her being Murdock's girlfriend while trying to kill daredevil... but that only lasted about 5 minutes... hardly the cool dramatic effect i had been led to believe. Oh, and the CGI fight in the church looked SOOOOO FAKE. Good stuff: Liked the dark tone. Liked the fact that Murdock was all scarred and obviously not invunerable like most superheros. Thought ben affleck (and all the actors) were much better than i expected. Daredevil was always my favorite. I reckon that if i had seen it before spiderman i might have loved it, but it just didn't quite match up in any respect. 6/10 Superhero films in order of coolness: Superman: 9/10 Batman: 8/10 X-2: 8/10 Batman Returns 7.5/10 Spiderman 7.5/10 Hulk 7/10 X-men 7/10 Superman 2 6/10 Daredevil 6/10 Superman 3 5.5/10 later batman films 1/10 and upcoming: X-3 9/10 Ghost Rider (with Nic Cage or Kiefer Sutherland) 10/10 Catwoman (with halle berry) -10/

Sivy
what about superman IV - the quest for peace? and spider-man deserves more than 7.5/10. personally i give it 8.25/
The Cheat
i rented the movie last night and i have to admit that it was pretty good, much better then i thought it would be, guess i had low hopes for it because of all the bad reviews i heard, didnt like it as much as x-2 (have not seen x-1 yet) and liked it about as much as i liked spider-man

That made me laugh really hard. Anyways, for the corny lines, I took .2 off. Everything else, I thought was perfect. So, to me, it was an almost perfect movie, except for those corny lines. Antilles_CL
Meh. The movin IMHO was far better than Hulk (which i thought moved way to slow) I was bummed that Electra was killed, but as for the action sequences, they were superb. I guess I'd pay to see the sequel then.

Yeah, but a freakin' 9.8? You're saying it's up there with some of the greatest movies of all time? The Godfather, The Shawshank Redemption, Casablanca, Citizen Kane, Amadeus, Schindler's List, and now... DareDevil? DareDevil shouldn't even be able to see the 9.8's from where it is so far down the list of great movies. Sure it was entertaining, but if you think it ranks up there with the greats... you need to see some more (read: better) movies.
