  1. Well, that's a real shame, then. I helped out collecting pretty much every version available (including all foreign language versions), all foreign versions of the audio drama, and cleaned up tons of brand-new scans of the "Book of Patterns", the game's manual and the hint book (each one in several different languages - my guess would be, all the ones that were released). Looks like I'll just dump all those documents (minus the game, obviously) on archive.org, or something. If Mojo wants to host them, I'll happily provide them.

  2. This time it’s virtual has shipped to most people as I understand it. Hit the Road is held up though as I am designing it and have been record-breaking slow at finalizing deliverables.

  3. It's been a while since I dropped a fresh beta of my LucasArts/LucasFilm game emulator DREAMM, but today is the day we start for 3.0. Lots of new stuff in this one, with a focus on the remaining DOS games. Have a look! aarongiles.com/dreamm/beta/

  6. DREAMM 3.0b2 is now available to fix a few key issues from the first beta. First item is particularly important due to shuffling of game IDs: you will want to let DREAMM re-verify your games if you're coming from a 2.x version! https://aarongiles.com/dreamm/beta New in 3.0b2: * Fixed version check so you are once again prompted after upgrading to scan folders * Fixed standalone mode * Fixed black levels in basic and epx OpenGL shaders * Improved preset matching for sound fonts * You can now track new versions via RSS at https://aarongiles.com/dreamm/version.xml

  8. Yeah, I think @s-island has been made aware of the issue. Not that it means he's doing anything about it, mind you.

  9. @Jake, I am ecstatic that you are involved with that one and that someone was smart enough to let you. I also have received my Loom LR edition but I haven't opened it up yet so I can't confirm the included versions but I don't have a reason to doubt it either. And I also have received my "This Time It's Virtual" box but have also had already-released items held up because I had lots in my one order. @Lagomorph01 can you check if you have other items with that specific order? Limited Run Games started an initiative recently to allow users to have half-orders shipped separately but you have to make that effort with their shipping distributor.

  10. Wow, incredibly well-made and a great watch. I got a little emotional at certain parts, especially at the end. Even though it's been nearly two years since Return was announced, I still found myself thinking during my watch of the documentary, "I still can't believe we got this Monkey Island after decades." The documentary reminded me just how many things had to go right for Ron and Dave to be able to make this game. Some overall, scattered thoughts: Even though Ron has since confirmed the Secret in several interviews, it's always great to hear his and Dave's thoughts on it. Also cool to know that Dave also knew the Secret the entire time, all the way back to the development of the first game. Ron's read of "On Stranger Tides" did influence decisions that ultimately got him further from focusing more on the Secret in the first game. That makes perfect sense. It sounds like the Voodoo mythology, LeChuck, and Guybrush were truly born from that read, while the landscape and the Secret itself were always there in Ron's mind during initial conceptualization. I love hearing Dom say, "I will always hope for another, but I think this is the first time I feel comfortable if this was the final one as well." That summarizes my thoughts on Return as well. I loved the game, narrative, themes, and ending so much, that I would be okay if this were the final one.
