leXX
STTCT - You can't really compare having a cesearean to giving birth naturally. Both of my births were horrific, but I will spare you the gorey details. Childbirth is still extremely underated. I just can't express enough the excruciating pain. Siv - Come on now. My daughter: Eww, what's that? Me: Black olives. My daughter: Yuck, I'm not eating them. Me: What do you mean yuck? You haven't even tried them. Taste one. My daughter: No, they look discusting. Me: Go on, you might even like them. My daughter: *tries one* Mmmm, they're delicious!
jokemaster
Eh, Halo's a good game, but like I've said, it has some really bad texture problems, in most levels it seems like you're going through the same area over and over again, especially indoors. Astrotoy7
SIV damn sigs are avatars are over rated just kiddin ! Nah, I mean Siv is obviously very talented at putting together some nice stuff but why always Neo/Matrix..... excluding the first movie of course, the Wachowski brothers blew it..... STTCT, I once made a similar statement about The Hobbit/LOTR....when I was about 12...... Reading Tolkien is about patience, but once you get used to 'being in his world' well, its just.....mind blowing. In its the details and description that are the KEY !!! Patience.....young lady MTFBWYA

toms
Originally posted by STTCT I attempted to read "The Hobbit" but it was boring as hell and way way too descriptive. Harry potter is overrated, but that doesn't mean it is bad. It is actually pretty good when you try it (except the 2nd one), but there are better books like the "His Dark Materials" trilogy. Ocarina of Time is the best game ever. I bought my GC for windwaker (which is a bit overrated), but now im just playing OOT. a 6 year old game that is still better than almost anything out there. Busted. - Not just overrated but deserving of a slow, painful death a they disolve over years in a sarlaac's belly. ANyone have a sarlaac i can borrow???? Surfnshannon
The hobbit was too discriptive and frankly his style of writing didn't interest me in the slightest. I tried to hang in there but I really couldn't get into it. The man needs to cut to the point and quit trying to fluff it up. As for Harry Potter I loved the last book and the fourth book to pieces. Its an easy read and I love how the author writes. She is descriptive yet doesn't need to fill 500 pages of fluff to describe her charectors. The_One
The Hobbit was too descriptive?!?!? You should read other books by Tolkien - hell, The Silmarillion has a page which is just a list of names. Then try reading some of the great literary master works. Go and read Paradise Lost and then tell me that The Hobbit is too descriptive...

XERXES
Guys we're in here to state what we believe is overrated, just because soembody else thinks something that you dedicate your life to is overrated doesnt mean you need to get your panties in a wad over it. People have different opinions, get over it. White girls are overrated. Messageboard sigs are overrated. Parts of college is overrated. Almost anything on MTV is overrated. ET Warrior
Just for future reference IG...there's no reason to quote his entire post if you're just going to basically quote it verbatim in YOUR post. And I just have to point out....there is no way in hell curling is overrated as far as I can see. I dont know ANYONE who even thinks it's remotely entertaining.. Pie™
Curling | More popular in norway... Capitalism | i dont see what you mean here George Lucas|His recent work has been overrated, he was better before St Anger | The newest metallica album Arwen | The movie poster and credits, which place her above Miranda Otto (Eowyn), Orlando Bloom (Legolas), John Rhys-Davies (Gimli), Billy Boyd (Pippin), Dominic Monaghan (Merry), Sean Astin (Sam), my FotR poster even places Liv Tyler above Viggo Mortensen (Aragorn)! And she wasnt even supposed to be there!!! (ok, for maybe 3 minutes in FotR...) Glad to see that you agree at the other points [EDIT] didnt see your post ET

toms
one harry potter book is about 6 times the length of the hobbit... ahem, anyway: The Wheel of Time - Talk about over-descriptive, try these books. 10 books at 1000pages each and nothing has actually happened for about the last 4 books. Book 10 was about 900 pages and the only action in the whole book was in the last 5 pages. Matrix Sigs - like everyone else hasn't got one, makes a page take 9 hrs to download. By the Way - confused as to why everyone likes this as it is by far the worst chili peppers album ever.
