BongoBob
What are your favorite games that no-one else has ever seemed to hear about? I'll start. I just got an X-Box and bought ther sequal to Jet Grind Radio(DC), Jet Set Radio Future and Shenmue II. These are great games, that I feel did not get the attention they deserved. legameboy
Yeah, Yoshi's Island on the SNES was a great game, but it seemed people just ignored it. I think Gothic 1 was a great, but over-looked game.
txa1265
A number of people on the PC RPG Usenet group think that Gothic 2 was right up there with KotOR as a great RPG last year. The NOLF 1 & 2 were dramatically under-purchased (but well known because of critical acclaim). And I see Dungeon Lair 3D for <$10 already .. oh wait, that's because it was crap ... whitedragon
Freedom Fighters. Very good game makes me proud to be an american. but too short and the main character hardly ever talks. Oni is another game that not many people have heard of that i love to death.

I love the melee in the game, Sneaking around corners then snap the guards necks.

narfblat
River City Ransom for NES. All you did was go around beating people up and learning better ways to beat people up.
-=DarkZero=-
RCR owned! Freedom fighters, wicked too, although I lagged a lot, too much cheating, Yoshi's island pissed me off after I beat it, cause I only wanted to play the car level. I have three over looked games: Helbreath Ragnarok Online Infantry. The only thing wrong with them now, is they charge money, but I had wicked characters in those games, especially Infantry and Ragnarok, I was famous in both, too bad they charge money now Yeah, not a lot of people have heard of these though. MysticSpade
Legacy of Kain never was really overlooked most of the people i know love the Blood Omen series but hate the Soul Reaver seriers where as i love Soul Reaver more. Shenmue is an AWESOME game although i still need to earn $500 on Shenmue 2 to progress some more. i am also into street racing games and there are some that dont get noticed at all. one would be Street Legal Racing and Street Legal Redline. one other game many of you prolly know but haven't played is a Final Fantasy knockoff called Legend of Dragoon which BTW is a VERY Good game IMO. and Conkers bad fur day is SCHWEET too. if i can think of any more i'll post em

StormHammer
Clive Barker's Undying has to rate as one of the best 'over-looked' games. The team who made it were disbanded soon after it's release because the sales were so poor - but the game itself is very good. Outcast (not Jedi Outcast, but the game from the now defunct Appeal) is another game that did not seem to do very well, but is nevertheless a great gaming experience, with one of the best original soundtracks I've heard in any game. Giants: Citizen Kabuto is probably another game that dropped off the gaming radar fairly early, but is nevertheless a cracking and diverse gaming experience. The dev team went on to make Armed and Dangerous. Codename: Outbreak suffered from too much criticism regarding it's graphics - and it has some glaring bugs in it - but otherwise it's a pretty good game. Add in a dose of Sacrifice, a pinch of Battlezone and a dollop of Cossacks, then bake until well done. Then sprinkle bits of Mace Griffin: Bounty Hunter on top to decorate. I never played more than the demo, because it never made it to the US. Review statements like this: Fans of futuristic sci-fi shooters have probably already played Mace Griffin Bounty Hunter--or some close approximation of it. and scores in the 50's to 60's probably didn't help ... I wonder how it would have done if it got a full release and some press. Breed has not concerned itself with such things (i.e. bad reviews), and occupies decent shelf space right now ... Samuel Dravis
The Longest Journey. It was overlooked in the US because it's an adventure game (in Europe it did very well). Personally while I was playing it, that did not matter. It's just a great game and everyone at the swamp should get it.
