te27ch
No, I'm not talking about the games themselves. It's about ME playing them. First, my internet connection sucks. It's dialup. It also connects at 24kbps, which is something like 1/3 of regular dialup. And, for those of you who say "then get broadband"... I can't. I frickin live in the middle of nowhere, limited budget. I mean, it's not like I'm sitting around wondering if broadband is better... Main problem: I'm bored. With games. This year I, erm, procured something like 15+ new games. I played them. I played them again. No multiplayer, but mods and levels, yes. I'm just sick and tired of everything and i need something new. I've played: Quake Series Unreal Tournament Series Jedi Knight Series X-Wing Series Freespace Series Doom Series Half-Life Series (yes, every single game in all of those) single games: Return to Castle Wolfenstein Halo (I HATE HALO DIE XBOX KIDDIES) Hates: strategy, RPG, etc. Note: If you want to tell me how im a whining loser, I'd sorta prefer you not, because i know it. WHAT SHOULD I PLAY NOW?!?!
KBell
Check out the Fallout series. It's an RPG set in the post-apocalyptic world with humor and violance.......everything a game should be.
Guardian Omega
You tried Adrenaline Gamers mod for HL? And try this utlilty to speed up your connection, >300 kb downloads from only 128k max. http://www.speedguide.net/files/TCPOptimizer.exe
Neverhoodian
Finding good SP games can be hard to come by, especially with all the focus on MP gaming nowadays. Have you considered the Grand Theft Auto series? Not much strategy there, just drivin' fast and terrorizing the populace. I've also heard the Spinter Cell games are pretty good. I've never played them though, so don't take my word for it. *shrugs*

WHAT SHOULD I PLAY NOW?!?! well, I suggest you go play with yourself.... because unless you start looking into other genres(how could anyone say they hate RPGs without at least giving KOTOR and even NWN a try).... yeah, and from the type of games you seem to like, maybe check out Battlefront....... can I go now.... mtfbwya

-Zack-
Star Wars: Knights of the old republic. It's an RPG, but it's totally sweet and it has good replay value too and mods!
Doomie
Yes, it's officially the best game ever. Also, Splinter cell IS good, but once you've finished that, it's not very fun anymore. I hope you'll revisit your opinion about Halo (Don't see how you could dislike it, let alone hate it) And even if you dislike Gametypes, you should be able to like the evry best of them. Try Warcraft 3 TFT, Starcraft, Age of Mythology: Titans or C&C Generals: Zero Hour...

Kain
Legacy of Kain: Defiance. 1: It'll tell you everything that happened in the other games, so all the pointless hours you'll save solving puzzles can be skipped. 2: All you do is walk around and kill people (80% of the time). And one last thing: Expand your gaming preferences. Expand your Imagi-Nation

Hermie
try The Longest Journey, a point-and-click puzzle solving adventure (think Myst), with one of he greatest storylines ever.could be kinda hard to get though, kinda old...
manoman81
I know how you feel. Even though you said you don't like RPGs, I would give KOTOR a try. I'm not a huge RPG fan either. The Turn based thing kinda gets on my nerves. But, I picked this up because of all of the hype and I'm not sorry I did. It's like a cross between an RPG and a FPS. It is a fun game. Sucks about your interenet connection...

Datheus
The problem with Medal of Honor is once you beat it. It's over. It has next to zero on the replayability scale. However, GTA is a good suggestion.

Or you can try to look up Porn Weird, Cool, Funny and other such stuff on the internet. Play games as a pastime, not a full-time job.
