Ok, first of all, this is not a Bush/Kerry discussion, it is a poll. Simply put, I only want the percentage of swampies who are (or would be) voting for which candidate. I am not trying to start a flame war, or any arguments, I simply want the numbers.

You need more, and better, options for your post ... it is like asking 'which is the best FPS - Kreed or Breed' ...

Can't we have a better choice than the lying socialist and the incoherent idiot? Please?!?!?

I guess I have to go with the incoherent idiot ... he'll take away less of my money and fewer of my freedoms, and is less likely to make Spanish the national language ... but there is a price ...

;)

Please again ... another choice ?

But seriously - I'm pretty adaptive at languages (my latin training paid off at more than just etymology ;) ) ... so I've picked up enough bits of various languages to be respectful in countries I've visited.

There is a large difference between bilingualism (good thing - multi-lingualism even better) and the attitude that you are a racist or otherwise non-PC or culturally insensitive if you expect people who work in positions requiring human interface to actually possess rudimentary english skills.

It's funny - on August 1st I'd have agreed. My wife is a liberal (she used to be a Democrat until shamed out of it by that scumbag Clinton, so now is 'unenrolled' - the Massachusetts term for independent) and she was saying 'Kerry will win'.

But Kerry has done so much to shoot himself in the foor that by Sept 30th I'd have said that Bush will win, because Kerry was being utterly incompetent and ineffective at getting any traction with his message - and even when he had a good 'restart' it was the day that whole CBS/Dan Rather thing broke (people saying there is no media bias will be recovering from that for a while  ) ...

But Bush has been talking lately, and that's never a good thing ;) And the media have been trying to get what they want - a race. I'm not saying that they are fabricating or shelving stories, but I will say that the real bias *I* believe exists is that they will push the stories that get them sales - so the tighter the race, the better the sales/ratings/whatever.

And now we have a race. We'll see - these two debates will tell us soemthing. If Bush looks like 'a loser' (different from just losing the debate) as he did in the first one, Americans don't tolerate that well, and he will probably lose the election. If something happens to push the war/national security in a more sensitive direction, he will win.

I'm pulling for Kerry simply because he's the only oen who has a chance to get Bush out of office. I really don't like him very much but there is no other way to utilize my vote that will actually make a difference

I do agree with txa about the debates. Americans HATE a loser, and if W. is the same in all the debates as in the first one I think we'll see a swing in favor of Kerry in the polls.

Im not old enough to vote but if I were id go with Kerry, besides Bush is to dumn to win

....oh sweet sweet irony :D

So you are part of the vast amount of Democrats voting for ABB (anybody but bush)? As opposed to the vast amount of Republicans voting for the non-democrat ...

The last person I voted *for* was Ronald Reagan ... I kinda liked George Sr. , but was clearly against Dukakis (didn't like him as Governor ...) ... against Clinton *and* Bush, didn't know *what* to do in '96 (the lying scumbag, the pedantic drone, or the psychopath ... great choices!) and 2000 ... I thought *that* was the 'evil of two lessers' ...

As I said, it isn't whether or not he 'wins' any of the debates - people already know Bush can't form a sentence- but how he behaves ... Gore paid dearly for his 'sighs' in 2000 (c'mon Al, the rest of us just silently cringed ;) )

Prime - smart move ;)

Nop, no other chioce. One of the two will be prestident, and you have to pick between which one you'd like better to be pres. I you don't like either one of them, just don't vote.

Wow, no flames so far, that's good.

Yeah, I think my discriptive start actually worked :)

I was being facetious ;)

In so many polls we do here there are obvious choices left out ... and while it is arguable that the 3rd party candidates should have been on the list (along with Yoda, of course), the 'joke' is that neither of these guys is really a positive voting choice - you're likely voting *against* the other guy ... yet one of them *will* be president in January ...

But that is a nonsequitor - you should vote your conscience, regardless if you know that your candidate has a snowball's chance in ... um, whatever. It is like voting for a Republican in Massachusetts.

I still believe that the emergence of a strong 3rd party is the only hope for true change and progress in our country ...
