Surfnshannon
Today was rather exciting and scary all at the same time. I'm not sure if you guy's remember me saying that my husbands truck was stolen right before christmas. It was devastating. Well that was over a month ago.... So on Friday my sister calls me and swears that the truck is right in front of her but that a girl is driving it w/ "GODDESS and shroom decals" on the truck. My sister lost the truck before the police could get there. We thought it might have been a fluke, who would be stupid enough to steal our truck and drive it right around where we live? So we filled out all the paperwork to sign over the title to the insurance (sunday) and had it ready to mail out. Sunday morning - yesterday- my husband left to go do the recycling and 10 min later he calls me and tells me that his truck is right in front of him. I immediatly call the police and tell them to call him. I hurry up get dressed and jump in my car. I call wait to call him and finnally I get through. He lost the car... The car was driving like crazy to loose him, it had switched drivers 3 times and somehow with its V8 it got away - so he was upset (my husband) he pulled over to meet with the police. Meanwhile.. I'm driving around thinking...okay where would they go...well my husband said they pulled out of this parking lot by a storage place...same place my sister saw them around when she saw them - so I went there... Well there was a motel 6 right there....so I drive around it and there was only one exit - the next thing I know the truck is going into the motel 6 as I'm exiting....so I act all cool. I park at a nearby restraunt watching the exit to see if they leave. I call my husband who calls the police and my I had to fight my husband not to go in the parkinglot. I didn't want him to scare these guys....so then like a million years later the cops meet us at a gas station across the street from the motel. We tell them our story and they don't sound convinced. They wanted to know how we knew it was ours if there was no liscence plate...we said I had put after market Tail lights on it and that we had never ever seen another truck with them. This one had everything we had custom put on the truck. I asked them to check the VIN and they kinda smirked and said "well we can't just lean over and look at it" so they didn't sound convinced. They told us they would sit on it - and if it didn't move in 45 min they would check it and "burn it" which means - some sorta cop language. So then we got in our cars and here comes the truck with some girl in it....the cops swoop in and catch her before she gets on the freeway (on ramp was right there) She tries to drive away and they pull out their guns. At this point I"m freeking out because I'm like "what if we are wrong???". Then like 3 cop cars come and they put the girl in their cop car. One of the cops we were talking to ran to the Motel 6 (because I had seen a different guy drive it in there) well like ants the druggies came out of that Motel and fled. The cops couldn't catch anyone else. The cops called my husband to the truck where he ID'd it and they let him drive it home. We busted our own car theives. What the luck huh? The truck is totally F'ed up. I mean they were druggies who were using it to steal other peoples stuff (there were numerous cd faces and stereos, amps, things out of other cars, like manuals etc) drug parafanalia and you could tell that they were selling our trucks parts piece by piece. They must have gone 4x4ing in it because they had dented the whole passenger side and they tried to make it look old by scratching off the badging, keying it and busting everything. They took their ciggerettes and burned all the insides....tagged on everything, tore up everything. Cut every wire, took stupid things like handles etc. But they left....the Infinity speakers in it, the 230 dollar tail lights, the 150 dollar billet grille. They took our stickers off and put those "Goddess" and shroom stickers up. It was bittersweet....Glad we busted them, but our poor truck is sooo messed up. We feel so violated and I am sooo scared these people know where we live and might try to get back at us. So pray for us!!

Nalukai
Heres a funny story that happened to my friend Matt about 6 years ago. He was a maniacal DeadHead that drove a Jeep all stickered out and was a real hit with the PD... anyway we lived in the same apt complex but had been friends long before that we drove around to "do our thing" in the college years... but one thing that was so special about his jeep is that it didnot have a working clutch. When I mean it didnt work i mean you had to shift by listening to the hum of the rpms to time it right... it was drivable but only by the both of us.. ^^ Anyway it was one "stoney" night when we were playing poker n vid games when he comes out side from little air break screaming dude my jeeps not out side... <INSERRT FAVORITE LINES FROM DUDE WHERES MY CAR DUDE> after a few minutes of exchanging puzzled looks he informed me since noone else can drive it he always left his keys in the car, so it was obvious someone had taken advantage of that situation. -BAD MISTAKE- After a few more minutes we began to see an ungodly amount of police/sheriff cars passing our complex back n forth ( we lived a block from courthouse n police station) so we didnt know wtf was going on... so he called in to report it stolen... The dispatcher told him almost immediately that they had recovered his vehicle about 4 blocks down- and he can come get his vehicle, but here is the story of why it was stolen/ caught: A 17 year old dumbass from the boon stix outside of town was in juvy court for a DUI, fear anything other than a slap on the wrist he jumped the bailiff took his gun and blew his brains out... he took the secretary at gunpoint to the front entrance, ditched her and the gun, then high-tailed it in our direction... being the only car in the street at that time he noticed the keys were in it so he hocked it and drove off..... little did he know about the clutch- he was unable to shift out of 1st and they caught up with him 4 blocks later with the jeep looking like it had 16 switches in it n smoking from the engine... Matt went back down to recover his vehicle where all the cops greeted him since they all knew him anyway (lol)- but the real funny thing is he had some weed in the jeep and they found it--- but they charged that dumb sumbitch that shot the bailiff with it instead.. one of the cops told him that since he was indirectly responsible for the retards capture... he couldnt see fit to take mah boy to jail so they stuck it on him instead.... rofl? Hell of a thing to do since he was only gonna get some fines and some juvy... now that dumb bastards getting life for killing an officer of the law... sigh... jon_hill987
Alright, I know it was obvious, I was just making the point that the story wasn't all that funny when you really think about it.
Kain
Some guy stole Selene's brother's truck. In retaliation, Selene's bro forced his thumb through the carthief's eye, blinding him and probably destroying the eye. I never did ask for the details... jon_hill987
If you did that in the UK, you would be the one doing time, not the car theif. Its really sad that you can get sued/jailed when a burglar breaks into your house and you "mess them up". If they are going to break into your home you should be able to to what you want to them. acdcfanbill
if my vehicle ever gets stolen, i want it to be done by professionals so it gets chopped and i never ever see it again. some kid swipes it for a joyride and screws it up, and the insurance company always wants to fix it cause thats cheaper, and u get stuck with a piece of junk that has no resale. jon_hill987
Originally posted by ZBomber Don't you guys have a law about self-defence or something over there? Basicly self defence is not a defence in court. there have been cases where someone stabed an intruder (believeing them to be holding a knife aswell) only to get locked up themselves.
