The british write there dates as DD/MM/YYYY, unlike the US, where it's MM/DD/YYYY. We won' get into why here because it'll just start and argument.

But why wait, just order it from Gamestop in the US, so you get it a couple of days later, better than a few months.

Oh, and the demo's awsome, completed it three times. I won't go into my review here because I already posted that in the razputin.net forums (just go through mojo)

Nothing technical though (is it?)

I'm guessing it's just making joeks make sense and so on. Technically, if you want it in english, the american version should work fine. I'm not really that bothered as long as I can play it.

I don't think the UK version will require much localization work, short of add/replacing a few words in the subtitle script. I especially doubt that they'll be rewriting any jokes for our benefit. I'd imagine that it's the other European language translations that would add the delays, and since we're part of Europe we get pulled into the delay. The same thing happened for Metal Gear Solid 3.

If you're getting it for the PC though, you may as well just import the US version. There shouldn't be any running problems whatsoever, and many US distributors don't have particularly heavy shipping costs.

I've not had it as my avatar for a long time. I only went crazy about that game and got the avatar about a week ago ;). Jake has had a Psychonauts avatar for ages, so it's probably him you were thinking of.

Double Fine (Tim Shafer's company) have been working on Psychonauts for a long time, and released some concept art type stuff ages ago, and people started noticing the game then... probably because it is by Tim, who also made Grim Fandango, Full Throttle and Day of the Tentacle.

Do either EB Games or Gamestop ship to the UK?

Yep, and it's relatively cheap, too. I mean, the PC version + shipping (to Germany) costs as much as a PS2/Xbox version without shipping. Considering the good exchange rate lately, it would be a shame to wait for the European release. I couldn't find the rates for shipping to the UK at EBgames, though.

You get a nice pre-order bonus!

I swear I knew that, I just forgot about it. No, really. I swear.

Meh, I'm an American pig. Hate me, the rest of the world does :p

I really did know it though

I tried gamestop (I wanted the t-shirt) but for some reason it simply wouldn't work. I may now try EB.

And, fealiks, whilst i'm no authority on the game in any way (except that I've been following it's progress for about three or four months now), http://www.razputin.net has all the info you need.

NiKo, if anything, you may as well try the demo to see if you like the game, you'll find a lot of Schafer-esque humour in it. And, if you don't like the game, all you've wasted is a bit of time downloading and playing the game (beware of 470Mb download)
