"actually I wasn't calling his choice stupid the way he phrased it sounded like he was something when he typed it and me and RJM go back and forth like that "

Ehh?

What did we go back and forth about?

I don't think I said more than one post on the subject?

Or do you mean in general?

"So I can try out black, green-blue, orange, viridian, cyan, and whatever other saber colors KoTOR modders come up with."

Some of those are original to the game:)

This is what I was trying to convey to you REDJOHNNYMIKE.

Also, the Sith have red sabres because they use artificial crystals. Apparently ;)

Where did you hear this? It doesn't sound very accurate to me. The canon saber colors are red, green, and blue (with purple added in).

I have heard this two there use it to get a more intense beam.

Lightsabers are powered from the control studs by a circuits channel and focusing crystal found only in nature on the planet Ilum. Before 1,000 BBY, the Jedi also used crystals from the planet Ruusan. This appears to be a matter of tradition rather than necessity, as there are many examples of crystals from elsewhere in the galaxy being used effectively in lightsabers, particularly with the revival of Jedi Order after the downfall of the Empire. Since the Jedi control the supply of suitable crystals, the Sith use synthetic crystals that generate a red blade. Some of the early Sith had other blade colors, but as fallen Jedi they might have re-used the crystals of their old lightsabers. Shadows of the Empire has Luke Skywalker using a synthetic crystal in his lightsaber construction. Luke built a lightsaber with a green blade, implying that the Sith intentionally construct their crystals to produce a red blade. Green blades can also be created from Corusca Gems from the gaseous planet of Yavin or any green-hued crystal capable of withstanding the strains of having so much power flow through them. This is true of other hues, as well. Natural crystals are usually prefered to synthetic, as there have been instances of synthetic crystals failing at unfortunate times, as happened to Corran Horn in I, Jedi.

You ca read more on it on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lightsaber#Jedi_and_Sith_of_renown_and_their_lightsabers

Your point being?

I know it looks a bit darksidish. But hey, I have played LS characters who weilded red blades before. And, besides, Anakin was still wielding his blue saber after he succumbed to the Dark Side.

Well I can't believe that cyan isn't in this poll although the mantle was the most powerful chrystal in KOTOR. Well, possibly just degraded to a normal worthless color chrystal in TSL ^_-

The fact still remains that many a Jedi Youngling fell to that Blue blade. Besides, I like what Patomon5 said about the issue of Orange sabers...

I always use a orange blade, ever since the option was available in the games. To me it means, I'm not leaving the Jedi Council, but I will exercise the right to question their motives and decisions. Orange is a good color for exhibiting defience against blind devotion. Red(sith) is just devotion to power, that will in time destroy you, either by your master's hand or your own pupil's stab in the back."
