@Aleggy

 your current avatar reminds me of well... me and how I feel currently... hehehe (Garfield rocks!)

except my bunny slippers are blue :xp:

Yah, like Darth333 suggested, Google Image Search is a great resource. Also, if you go into the advanced search options, you can choose a range of options to determine size, quality, filetype and such that can help limit the results to what you "really" want :)

You may also want to try yahoo as well. Alot of the pictures will be the same, but there will also be alot that don't come up on google. Yahoo seemes to find more images, too.

If you really want to take the time to find that "perfect" avatar, try both.

Does he also have Imperial Geisha that do his bidding? :D

Speaking of avatars, is it just me or did Darth333 give her avatar a haircut? I can tell she has already taken advantage of the bigger 120x120 so we can now see more of her avatar but methinks that the hair is different now for some reason...

if you use photoshop you can preserve the sharpness of photos when reducing size by choosing bicubic sharper from the resample image menu in the image size box thing. it works wonders on making things smaller. it also goes the other way, to make things bigger try bicubic smoother, the results aren't as good as shrinking, but it will look less blurry than a plain old relarging in ms paint. also when resizing an image, try to only resize once or things start to get even blurrier, if it didn't come out right the first time undo untill you're back to normal or start over with a fresh file. hope that helped someone.

Yes, I photoshoped it a bit. In fact this one is closer to the original: the hair was more modified in the previous one as the allowed size was insufficient. I also changed the background (and took the time to make one with a Death Star background too for when I'm feeling evil :devsmoke: ) .

To add to what Commas said, Photoshop is the best but don't get this to make avatars only because it's $$$ (they have a 30-day free trial). However, you can try the GIMP, which is also very good and free: http://www.gimp.org/

OK, all together now........

:deathstar

Oooooo...ahhhhh...ohhhhhh... :scare5:

When will we be privileged to see the evilness of Darth333's Death Star background for her avatar? Upon some poor unfortunate soul's ejection from the forums? shock1 (not me though. I'm not volunteering or anything...) :D

BTW you do have a very cool avatar. I'm sure I'm not the first person who has commented on it but it is rather striking. And now that you've lightened the background up your avatar's features stand out all the more. Hmmm... I think it's time to start fiddling around with Photoshop...

EDIT: Hehe, well so much for the suspense. The death star background does make your avatar's hair look different though... but it still doesn't compare to my bantha fodder avatar

*lets out big sigh after all the laughter*

Sometimes I'm so stupid I just crack myself up. :D

^^^^^^^

I like my Ninjai avatar, but it would be awsome if he were swinging his sword.

Not to go off topic, but seeing as this is a tread about size; Does anyone think my sig is too large? Or, rather, being that it's fairly bight, does it bother anyone? I didn't relize how much it stood out untill I uploaded it.
