IG-64 Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 Thanks dude. We got our generator, water, air conditioning unit, ect. Hopefully it will die down a bit by the time it gets here. I wouldn't mind a 3.
Mike Windu Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 I would advise leaving Houston for a few days just to be safe, but *shrugs* Good luck dude. *resists talking about a certain thing you said that you now wish you probably shouldn't have said. Karma's a bitch. *
TK-8252 Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 Mother Nature has some serious PMS going on.
TiE23 Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 Mother Nature has some serious PMS going on.Ditto, shes been pissed off for the last 10 months.

Tyrion Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 I <3 California for this reason. Good luck to IG and SD, at least be glad you're not stuck in a below-sea level city wedged between a river and a lake...
ET Warrior Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 I <3 California for this reason.. Yeah, you guys don't have to worry about any natural disasters there...... Seriously though, well wishes to everyone along the gulf coast.
Tyrion Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 Yeah, you guys don't have to worry about any natural disasters there...... Seriously though, well wishes to everyone along the gulf coast. Hey, there hasn't been a major earthquake here as long as I can remember. Therefore, there are no earthquakes. There are no earthquakes. There are no earthquakes!
Mike Windu Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 I'm on a fault line too. This is some serious day after tomorrow **** Once again, good luck to all as Rita draws closer. Samuel and IG: Stay alive.
Kain Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 Ah the Ohio valley: No tornados, no hurricanes, no tidal waves. Get the hell outta dodge if your on the gulf! RUN!! RUN RUN FOR YER LIFE!!! Serious: Good luck. I hope minimal damage to you and yours.
toms Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 Yeah... but its ohio... This is some serious day after tomorrow **** The president would ike to make clear that there is no proven connection between the fact that "Mother Nature has some serious PMS going on" and the foolish ideas of those scientists about global warming. Keep safe dudes.
Prime Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 It's a category 5 now.I think they are expecting it to be 4 when it makes landfall.
IG-64 Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 We have alot of work today, we gotta bring in vulnerable things and possible projectiles from outside. We gotta board up the back window and move furniture in the way of other windows. We gotta charge up lanterns and cameras and whatnot. And i'm gonna end up moving my computer somwhere safe, it's in front of a window right now. I'll be sure to make a post before I do that because after that I won't be on for awhile.
Bob Lion54 Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 Good luck all. I hope it dosn't do too much damage, but it sounds like Galveston is going to get hit hard. I live halfway between Houston and New Orleans (I-10 runs right through here). Man we really got lucky. Good Luck and be safe!
IG-64 Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 I'm gonna have to move my computer now. I'm not gonna be on for who knows how long. Wish me luck. This is IG-64, signing off.
SeleneRayne Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 Good luck to everyone. Hope you and your families will be safe. May you find your way back safe and sound to the swamp.
jokemaster Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 I left houston to get to mexico, so I got a surprise vacation out of this But me and my family are praying..........that nothing happens to our 50 inch plasma TV. EDIT: Seriously, praying for IG and everyone else that's still there.
Clemme w/Stick Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 Samuel and IG: Stay alive. What about Rp? He lives near Houston, afaik. Anyway, I just hope that all the swampers who live near Houston lives to tell the tale to their children and grand children. -Clemme
narfblat Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 Good Luck, may you and your posessions not suffer damage.
Sabretooth Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 Mother Nature's Mad. And I blame it all on The Day after Tomorrow. I mean, it snowed in UAE, rained 952 cm in Mumbai (my city), Tsunami, Hurricane Katrina and now Rita! Whatever happens, always stay away from floods and believe me, I have experience. Evacuate as soon as possible, or build an underground, water-proof bunker. I guess it would be too late now, CNN is showing uberfast winds and stuff...
RoxStar Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 I have two students from Louisiana in a few of my classes. Some jackass asked the kid if he left because he his house got destroyed and the new kid goes, "Oh no, its just underwater." Seriously though, keep safe.
