Delphi-PG Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 Hi Guys, Normally I don't do this, but because I love EAW soo much I can't help it. If time permits, head over to Voodoo Extreme to cast your vote. Follow the link below for more details. http://ve3d.ign.com/articles/684/684402p1.html
Thrawn Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 *salutes* Aye Aye sir! Let's show those folks over at EA who the true masters of strategy games are:)
Guest DarthMaulUK Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 Nothing like riding on the back of the EA Marketing machine! PC gamer UK also has the great BFME 2 vs Empire at War next month teaser, which was to be expected. However, I fear that PC gamer isnt going to reward EaW with a high score from reading their preview......but seriously, why do people believe magazine reviews anyway? Lets take the fight all the way DMUK
Orao Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 I gave my vote to the EAW but isn't this kind of weired ? Former Westwood Vs former Westwood. In other places it's called the civil war Anyway I still have the bad taste from BFME 1 where lagg in SP was nothing I experienced till then not to mention the pitty gameplay. .
popcorn2008 Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 Well of course I have to vote for petro! EaW is way better than battle for middle earth! So far EaW is ahead!
Foshjedi2004 Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 Battle for Middle Earth II - 364 Star Wars Empire at War - 477
gswift Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 You can buy my vote by making a quick response to some of the great suggestions made in the "General Discussion -> Empire at War: Demo feedback -> Feedback Welcome" discussion thread. Are there any plans for updates to the full version? I already voted for EaW, but I'm curious nonetheless.
Jmaster3265 Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 Hard decision they both look like good games.(played eaw demo not bff2 yet) I like EA and lucasarts. Here are the votes so far. p.s I cant do the beta for bff2? Is it even a demo? Apprently the beta isnt free and you need to be a preium memb fo fileplanet, im a normal free account. Which former Westwood dev team has the better game? Battle for Middle Earth II - 392 Star Wars Empire at War - 516
Admiral Sith Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 Battle for Middle Earth II - 394 Star Wars Empire at War - 523
RC2080 Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 Just because it's EA, I'm voting for EaW.. no offense to the devs of EaW, but I haven't seen that Battle For Middle Earth II game before.. but anyways, you have my vote Btw, do you guys from both companies know each other? Are there bets laid or something?
DS_Vespidbat Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 Go Here it will mostly tell u about them 2
endurell Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 Oh come on, why would so many people vote for BFME 2? I mean, they added Tom Bombadil as a hero unit!!! It's bizarre! Empire at War has my vote.
swphreak Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 Now if I could only play BFME2 so I can compare. I enjoyed BFME a lot, so anything can happen.
HordeOfDoom Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 I played B4ME2 BETA (I was a closed BETA tester in fact...) and the EaW Demo....EaW, hands down....tehee, now im advertising EaW on the B4ME2 fan site I was supposed to be testing the BETA for:P
Darth Andrew Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 Though I like LotR, Star Wars beats it any ol' day. BfMEII: 501 Empire at War: 664
Athanasios Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 Although i got couple complaints about EaW, the duty goes first Keep up mates, although the battle looks severe (150 votes difference), the victory will be ours -"SWAT force - ready to take care of those BFME2 voters..."
Commander Obi-Wan Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 I voted for BFME II....since I enjoyed the prequel of it. THough I plan on buying both of the games.
popcorn2008 Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 I voted for BFME II....since I enjoyed the prequel of it. THough I plan on buying both of the games. What is this blasphemy? How dare you! Hey well I guess everyone's entitled to fair opinion
Jeff Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 I voted for BFME II....since I enjoyed the prequel of it. THough I plan on buying both of the games. The demo alone of EaW was better than BFME. EaW all the way
NinjaSokudo Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 Just voted for EaW of course... current count: Battle for Middle Earth II - 536 Star Wars Empire at War - 703
Darth_Torpid-PG Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 You can buy my vote by making a quick response to some of the great suggestions made in the "General Discussion -> Empire at War: Demo feedback -> Feedback Welcome" discussion thread. Are there any plans for updates to the full version? I already voted for EaW, but I'm curious nonetheless. I can take this one. Delphi and I read all of the comments in that section, and in the "feedback welcome" thread especially (I started it after all ) While we don't have time enough to respond to every single idea/suggestion/question, We do take note of all of them. We will also, of course, pay close attention to things said once the game ships. It's already too late to change the shipping version. However, since the demo is from an early December build, many of the concerns and bugs players have found have already been addressed. Those concerns that may not have been addressed and are not "by design" can be addressed afterwards with patches. We don't plan to let you guys hang once the game hits store shelves; we'll make every effort to make your EaW experience a good one. That's not to say that every single suggestion/concern/wish will be instantly put into the game, but it does mean that we will certainly consider it. Community is important to us, as is making great games that people enjoy playing. We aren't vocal all the time, be we ARE watching...
