St. Jimmy
I know You'll all probably Torture me for this but I think Kotor is .... Overrated! Dun Dun DUN!!! (evil music) It's a good game... I even bought it but it's just not as good as everyone says it is. Your thoughts...
90SK
Of course it's as good as everyone says it is. Otherwise, they wouldn't have said it. It's just that you don't care much for the game yourself. It's not like the reviews are supposed to mirror your opinions. The only way to tell for sure if you like or dislike something is to try it for yourself, which you did, and it turns out KotOR isn't for you. Astrotoy7
This isnt even the KOTOR area, but I wont put you through the ordeal of moving this thread there Still, just because many love it doesnt mean you have to either !! I feel the same way about Oblivion - I just dont see what the big deal is... 1337 graphics can only do so much for a 'hack'n'slash' RPG, and not even a good one at that (IMO) NeverWinter Nights is absolutely untoppable as the greatest RPG of all time. Bring on NWN2 mtfbwya
RedHawke
KotOR is a 'pure' RPG, as such it won't sit well with some people who are in the more action oriented group. Bring on NWN2 I'll second that!
TSR
NWN? i keep getting pwned by the escaped priosners right at the start. meh. diablo II all the way! lvl 68 assasin:xp:
St. Jimmy
Finally someone who doesn't think Oblivion is the best game in the world! Hooray!!! I know I'm looking really anti RPG here but I'm not I just think there are othe better games out there. I think, one of the best SW games would have to be Battlefront. I know it's nothing like an RPG but it's a great multiplayer game (and that's important)
Darth_Terros
Seems clear that you just dont like RPGs? Personally i love the story and everything about Kotor it also expanded the starwars universe quite nicely, i'd take something that adds to the starwars EU over another brainless shooter. And to be fair Battlefront wasnt even that great a FPS just felt like a poor battlefield mod. Dont get me wrong i loved battlefront and i really enjoy the second game but it lacked any depth and the graphics were terrible the only thing its got going for it is the Starwars setting and the multiplayer aspect. For a truly brilliant Starwars FPS though it'd have to be the Jedi Knight series.
The Doctor
KotOR is far from overrated. KotOR kicks any FPS' ass, plain and simple.
Lantzen
Dont know how many times i have played throgh Kotor, but it's alot. I think Battlefield 2 is way better then Battlefront, but this is a Star Wars forum, so there probaly more that like Battlefront
Prime
I have hugs for both nwn and kotor. I have plenty of love to go around.
Jeff
Like RedHawke said, KotOR isn't for everybody if they don't like the turn-based system. I know a lot of my friends can't stand it, but I love it!
ChAiNz.2da
NeverWinter Nights is absolutely untoppable as the greatest RPG of all time. Bring on NWN2 I couldn't agree more... I'm only playing Oblivion now because I've worn out my KotOR & TSL discs, that and NWN2 hasn't been released yet hehehe.. http://www.atari.com/nwn2/ Take a look at the screens and then you'll see that they are taking steps to not only make a great RPG BUT incorporate eye-candy as well... this game will PWN anything that gets in it's way... However, they're going to have some hella competition with Bioware's new project Dragon Age.. I'm torn between the two.. http://dragonage.bioware.com/ As for your experience St Jimmy, I don't think anyone should give you smack for your opinion.. KotOR may not be for everyone, but then there will always be KotOR fan-boys who will argue otherwise.. hehehe I'm probably one of those said fan-boys, but I can feel your pain. People always sneer at me because *I* think that, quite frankly, both the HALO series and DOOM series sucks arse... but I digress You should check out some of the mods available for KotOR.. might make your experience for the next round a little better
Pavlos
As ChAiNz said, no one can smack you for not liking KotOR . You tried it and didn't like it - the most important thing is that you actually tried it rather than just voicing an opinion out of the blue. Everyone has their own opinions regarding games; I myself feel that Final Fantasy games are absolutely terrible (Though I haven't played all of them, only two), which I could well be killed for . Anyway, as many others have said - NwN2 is going to be great and NwN *was* great... heh. I've already got Word open for planning a custom adventure - and the game isn't even out yet... how sad. I apologise for any typos: I'm using a keyboard with a backspace of 1cm x 1cm - which is frustrating.
Nedak
KOTR rocks.. The first and second time you beat the game its fun! But afterwords it gets really boring...
PurpleMuffin
It's just not your gaming style. I happen to have no skills in aiming shooting sabering or anything but I love most action games because the story. Kotor allows me to dwell deep into the character's lives and go through the plot without hearing game over several times. Being able to choose in click is better for me.. plus you can do so much....It's my favorite game in the world...besides psychonauts

BasiliskJC
I thought the game was pretty fun. I liked to go around the worlds and explore. Other than that, the game really didn't offer anything that I thought was really interesting. I think I said this in another thread some where, but I'll say it again. I wish that they would make a none Jedi RPG. I am TIRED of being a Jedi. Good or bad.
MachineCult
Well you must have expected to be a Jedi, seeing as it is called Knights of the Old Repulblic.
BasiliskJC
Well that's beside the point. I am still tired of playing a Jedi. And plus I only played it because my brother bought the game. I still thought it was a good game and worth my brother buying it.
Nedak
I like Kotor2 better then Kotor. I recently got it for PC because I sold my Xbox version of the game on Ebay (which I regret doing). I installed it and then I realized that my system doesn’t have the requirements! Well back to the store I Go!
PoiuyWired
Well, kotor2 have spall uncompleted parts which you can notice if you play it enough, and I am NOT talking about hidden/cut contents here (for those who know). kotor1 have a more focused storyline, and a nice turning point thingy like "I am your father" in OT. (and NO, its not "I am your Mother")
