jebbers Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 Comes out at Midnight. I will be in the morning to watch it before I go to work. Click-ableness EDIT- I just saw I can see it 4 hours early by watching ABC at 8pm. Gotta sit thru Dancing with the Stars. Yuck.
Fish.Stapler Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 Woot. This one had better be damn good at explaining that cliff hanger...
gorganfloss Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 There is a leaked version of it up on youtube that's dubbed in Russian. Haven't seen it yet, though. I wouldn't be able to understand it anyway. It might even be taken down by now.
milo Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 Out in theaters May 25th. Sweet, that's like the day I graduate.
Commander Obi-Wan Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 ****. Can't wait! Well, it starts in 2 mintues. Watch them wonder Oilers or watch dancing with the stars? Hmm.....
jebbers Posted March 20, 2007 Author Posted March 20, 2007 zOMG! I just saw it on tv and there are some great looking action scenes. Captain Jack asks the crew "Well aren't any of you who have rescued me, happy to see me?" Everyone is quiet and the Jack the monkey raises his paw. I laughed. Then Jack says something like "Why should I help you? 4 of you tried to kill me! And one succeeded." Then he looks at Elizabeth Swan. She hangs her head. Then there was a brief scene where a ship is sailing through sand. And Jack is show as one of Davy Jones' men, all covered in barnacles.
Det. Bart Lasiter Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 OMG! I've never seen the first or second one Seconded. Pirates ain't my thang.
abcd1234 Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 OMG! I've never seen the first or second one I hope you are kidding. The first one = amazing. I could pass on the second one.
Bomberman65 Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 The last 5 secs or so of music just after Jack fires the canon is from a Spiderman 3 trailer lol. But I can't wait to see this and Spiderman 3.
Lightsaberboy Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Eww, Norrington's wearing that ugly wig and uniform again. He looked better when he was a mess. Now it looks like he's a bad guy again.
IG-64 Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Looks pretty good. Still nice and piratey. I just hope it's not all just the same stuff. The trailer music, however, is very, very used.
coupes. Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 I enjoyed the first one much more than the second one. IMO the second one was trying too much... trying to be funny and trying to be epic, etc. Maybe the third one will not suffer from the sequel syndrome as well.
Mike Windu Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 They needed some new material on the 2nd. Too many rum jokes and whatever. But Davy Jones and the Flying Dutchman crew were cool. I look forward to At World's End.
Jeff Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 This is probably my most looked-forward to movie right now. I loved the first two. I enjoy the second one better than most but I think I still like the first one better.
jon_hill987 Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 This is probably my most looked-forward to movie right now. I loved the first two. I enjoy the second one better than most but I think I still like the first one better. Middle sequels are always slightly disappointing, especially when they go for a cliffhanger ending. Even LotR:tTT is generally considered the worst of the bunch (Legolas skateboarding! What were they thinking!?). I enjoyed both CotBP and DMC, I would even go as far as to say they were almost as good as each other. The only thing that lets the second one down is the fact that it is not a stand alone film, and relies too heavily on seeing the other two around it.
Commander Obi-Wan Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 ****. Looks pretty damn sweet. I enjoyed the first two quite a bit. Probably will enjoy this one too. Thanks for the linky, jebbers. @jonhill - The Two Towers is probably my favourite movie of alltime. I liked it a bit better than RotK.
jon_hill987 Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 @jonhill - The Two Towers is probably my favourite movie of alltime. I liked it a bit better than RotK. Each to their own. I enjoyed it a lot, Just not quite as much as the other two, maybe it was a bad example. IMO they need to be watched as one film anyway, just like PotC 2 & 3.
Mike Windu Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 Glee! Chow Yun Fat is badass. Problem is... how will the ninja v pirate debate go now? Or rather, Shaolin monk v pirate debate... And the fact that the duel in the trailer was synched with the music was badass. I'm digging it.
