PS3 and Xbox Price drop

i don't know if this has been posted already, haven't been here in a while, but the Playstation 3 has dropped the CND price down $150 (now $549) and down to $499 in the US. And theres also a new 80GB PS3 at $599US coming out this summer. and supposedly the Xbox will drop their price down $50.

I'm totally stoked about the 360 price drop, I've been looking into getting an elite, and if the price drops by $100 I'm totally sold.

And my point is that you shouldn't have to deal with hardware failures of any kind in the first place. Not with Microsoft, not with Sony and not with Nintendo.

If the price drop is for all Xbox 360 consoles including the Elite, I should have waited. I bought it when it was released. I was becoming impatient and had to get one. I thought Mass Effect would have been out by now. Oh, well.

I'll wait another year or two before seriously considering getting a 360, I doubt I'll ever be tempted to buy a PS3.

I never said 100% of Xbox360s die, but the number of reports you hear is alarmingly high.

I'd skip the Elite and wait for the "Falcon." Then again, if you're too impatient, go for it.

 

I'm pretty sure Microsoft will keep it's price until the Falcon comes out. Better and cheaper parts = lower cost = price cut. Right now, the 360 is still cheaper than a PS3.

I got the Elite and regular 360. I really don't see the need for the Falcon, because I'm gonna have a billion game saves.

 

But I'm looking to buy two more 360's, mainly for parties, and the price drop would be great.
