MTV2
i don't know if this has been posted already, haven't been here in a while, but the Playstation 3 has dropped the CND price down $150 (now $549) and down to $499 in the US. And theres also a new 80GB PS3 at $599US coming out this summer. and supposedly the Xbox will drop their price down $50.

Tyrion
I wonder if the $499 60 gig PS3 is going to go extinct like the 20 gig version. New is same as the old, just with twenty extra gigs.
TiE23
A bigger hard drive isn't going to make the PS3 any better. :\
Lightsaberboy
at first i thought that said they were dropping the price down to $150, not down $150. lol.
Datheus
I'm going to be so pissed if Microsoft follows suit. I said to myself, "I'm willing to pay an extra amount between now and January--or even November--to play it for the time between" I've only had it for a ****ing week. It isn't worth 50 bucks for a ****ing week...

Sabretooth
They can lower their prices as much as they like. I'd still rather buy a Wii when I get the opportunity.
ET Warrior
And a lower price isn't going to make the Xbox360 more reliable... No, but a three year warranty means failures become an inconvenience, but not a cost.

Kain
A bigger hard drive isn't going to make the PS3 any better. :\ Nah, but prettier games that are longer and more enjoyable might. :\
Lynk Former
Don't worry, there'll be plenty of those coming out, it just takes time to make them.
ET Warrior
And what's your point? You're getting a cheaper console that will be replaced at no additional cost to you if it does break...*shrug* I'm totally stoked about the 360 price drop, I've been looking into getting an elite, and if the price drops by $100 I'm totally sold. Lynk Former
And my point is that you shouldn't have to deal with hardware failures of any kind in the first place. Not with Microsoft, not with Sony and not with Nintendo.
Commander Obi-Wan
If the price drop is for all Xbox 360 consoles including the Elite, I should have waited. I bought it when it was released. I was becoming impatient and had to get one. I thought Mass Effect would have been out by now. Oh, well.
Lynk Former
I'm hearing that a Konami exec said that MGS4 might go to "other consoles"... so I'm looking closely for what might become....
Jeff
If the elite does drop to $400 that might push me over the edge enough to buy one.

TiE23
And a lower price isn't going to make the Xbox360 more reliable... I'm still on my original 360. Nothing wrong with that.
coupes.
http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3160603 I'll wait another year or two before seriously considering getting a 360, I doubt I'll ever be tempted to buy a PS3.
Lynk Former
I'm still on my original 360. Nothing wrong with that. I never said 100% of Xbox360s die, but the number of reports you hear is alarmingly high.
swphreak
I'd skip the Elite and wait for the "Falcon." Then again, if you're too impatient, go for it. I'm pretty sure Microsoft will keep it's price until the Falcon comes out. Better and cheaper parts = lower cost = price cut. Right now, the 360 is still cheaper than a PS3. Reclaimer
I got the Elite and regular 360. I really don't see the need for the Falcon, because I'm gonna have a billion game saves. But I'm looking to buy two more 360's, mainly for parties, and the price drop would be great.
