edlib
Another mind-numbingly boring day at work. Ended early though... which is good and bad. Good: Less dull hours in my office waiting for it to end while my brain melts into cottage cheese. Bad: No $45/ hour overtime for essentially sitting on my tookus. It's now 4:30 am... and I'm wide awake listening to The Beastie Boys. The world has gone either very wrong somewhere... or very right. I can't decide which. It's way too early for that. Ray Jones
The album which still rocks me most is Paul's Boutique. It is plain and simple awesome.
Cmdr. Cracken
Rock Band 2 is awesome. Too bad my roommates suck at music/rhythm games and can't play it to save their lives. GOD. On a plus note, I'm improving my coordination by instead of playing the guitar parts, the drum parts. OOooohhhhhhhhhh.... *spooky hands*
K_Kinnison
real skill is doing the guitar parts with your hands and the drum parts with your feat... at the same time
edlib
You fail if you cannot do all of the above and sing on pitch at the same time. Work yesterday was OK. I just had to cover for someone else for a few hours while she took a class. No pressure. My kind of day. I'm awake again at 4:30. This I could do without. Oh well: go in to work early; come home early. (But at this rate: Go to bed REALLY early... )

Keyan Farlander
When I was in Bath in July, there was a guy on the street playing the violin and had this machine that let him play the guitar with his feet. He had like a pedal to control the strumming with his right foot and he could sort of push a button with his left foot to control the chord. edlib
Hmmm... that's interesting. I'm very curious about the mechanisms that would require; I'd like to see how that worked. (Though it seems there are far more practical ways to get accompaniment these days...) Work was OK. Vocal auditions all afternoon. Easy. Ate a late lunch, and helped my friend set up a huge color laserjet printer in his office. Came home, and fell asleep immediately. Just woke back up. Think I'll have a light dinner, and read until I drift back off. Though I do want to download the "Force Unleashed" demo from XBox Live... Probably won't bother to play it tonight even if I do, though...

K_Kinnison
I saw previews of forced unleashed and I am not looking forward to all the pimply kids who will think Galen is the most powerful Force user ever. Even tho it is a game that relies on over the top Cinematics to sell. Tim Zahn had a really good comment about the limit of "power" the force would be moving Lukes X-wing from the swamp. all the movies stay true to that limit
edlib
Maybe... But, hey... it's a new Star Wars game. One I'm actually somewhat looking forward to; and one that looks like it doesn't totally suck. Not sure if I care if it falls into proper "canon" and the rules and logic of the rest of the series. I just want to be entertained. At this point in my relationship with Lucasarts, I guess I'll just take whatever I can get. In other news: I managed to stay asleep past 4 am this morning. That is: until my cat figured out that the upstairs part of my house still has carpeting. Apparently my bedroom just became her litterbox. At 5 am, she woke me up scratching on the floor beneath the desk in my room. I had to get out of bed and clean it up before it totally soaked in. Talk about rude awakenings. She is now on probation. A couple of more incidents like this, and I'm going to bring her to the shelter and not look back. I really don't want it to come to that... but I'm at the end of my rope here. The local shelter doesn't euthanize... but if they are honest about the reasons she is there, she'll probably never get re-adopted, and have to spend the rest of her life in a cage. I don't really wish that... but I also don't want to spend my every waking, non-working minute cleaning my house, either. I thought that once she was going outside that this nonsense would end. And it really looked promising for a long while too... Dammit.
Keyan Farlander
The Force Unleashed looks pretty lame. I predict extremely repetitive gameplay and so-so controls. Story and playing with the Force powers for a few minutes might be good for a little entertainment. But it's going to be no X-Wing, no Jedi Knight, that's for sure. edlib
That's why I'm checking out the demo first. I even had the box in my hands at a game store yesterday, but I couldn't bring myself to actually make the investment sight unseen. I've been burned before... Zargon
I just hope its better than Republic Commando. That game was so uninspiring.

edlib
I just had pizza if it makes you feel better. It was OK. (Wasn't hot enough...) Work has been on the dull side as well. edlib
Downloaded and played part of the F.U. (heh heh heh...) demo. Eh... it's OK. Looks really nice. The physics engine is spectacular! Cameras are a bit weird (reminded me of Bounty Hunter... and I HATED the camera in that game...) Game play could get a bit repetitive, as Keyan thought. If it weren't for the force powers, it would be just a standard hack & slash. "Kill everybody you see, all the time..." in other words. However: I'm sure I'll pick it up at some point... But I'll wait for the price to drop.
Rogue15
good day at work today. somewhat. had a nice talk with my assistant manager. i wish that policy which prohibits me from fraternizing with management didn't exist... I wish i could just switch my "safeties" off and have at it like i have nothing to lose. i'll just go do random stuff on my days off (sunday and monday)....i want to go take some pictures so tomorrow gonna go throw my sd cards onto a cd, clear them and go out and get some nice pre-autumn pics. maybe. or i'll do something else. anything but staying "home". well, guess i'll download my pictures onto my computer, and tomorrow do the cd thing and clear em. this way i'll have a copy if the damn computer breaks on me.
