So yeah, the new 360 dashboard has landed and with it came the introduction of 360 avatars. You all probably knew this by now but did you also know that you can easily post an image of your avatar for all to see?

 

I'll show you mine if you show me yours. Just put the following address into IMG tags to show us your avatar:

It's surprising how restrictive these avatar's are... in some ways they're great, but in other ways you're so limited because you can choose certain things, but you can't do anything to them like placement or size or anything. Whatever.

and as an add on to that;

 

there is this feature with photobucket accounts that let you make something exactly like that.

but they(photobucket's) are animated and probably more customizable.

You don't get much of an option to begin with. If we were given more options, I would've chosen to go with different clothes than what my avatar has right now.

Also, with the whole "this is like Mii" thing. It is, but Microsoft really only wants to use this as a personal avatar thing while Mii's can be used as avatars and for generally having fun. With the Mii's you can swap and share them and show them off to people and make as many as you want. Hell, there's even a channel that lets you compare, rate and put your Mii's up for competitions.
