edlib
2 things to do this week: 1. - Get back to IKEA and buy a couple more boxes of tiles as spares, and some flashing to use as trim around the walls to cover rough spots. 2. - Get to Circuit City and see if I can't get a decent HD-TV for the cellar... and maybe a DVD player with HDMI out. Rogue15
yay for hdtvssssss!!!1111 watched 24. i love that show. i also watched clone wars...one episode of it. can't really get all 'omg' about it cause i've missed like 10-12 episodes already. i'll get the box set on dvd. the girl seems kind of cool, at least what i could tell from the 5 minute phone conversation. My friends think i'm insane for letting my one friend set me up like that. I don't care, cause i got nothing to lose. From what my coworker said, she's a little older than me, has her own place too. so that's definitely a plus.

Rogue15
walmart is running out of tvs as well. don't buy vizio, we get alot of returns on them.
edlib
Yeah... but if the price is right, just about anything would be an improvement over moving the 100+ lbs lo-def CRT TV I was going to set up down there.

Rogue15
good luck, scar!. I just played some Fable II....decided to marry the jeweler my character kept screwing....success on having a baby on the 1st marital sex. the baby is evil. it loves when i do the 'evil laugh' expression. think when it grows up i'll show it the true nature of the dark side by sacrificing it to the temple of shadows......nah...i couldn't do that. or could i???? I was overly generous to my family and put a daily allowance of....2000 gold. this made the wife VERY HAPPY, as her expectation was like 175 gold. haha. she didn't appreciate my character flirting with another woman, and she threatened to leave me. i decided to be nice and give her some chocolate...lol i'm gonna get some sleep...gonna wake up early and clean out my car. Keyan Farlander
Things are crazy down here near D.C. because of the inauguration. Lots of people took off work to go see it, and they are putting it up on the big projector in the media room for us to watch at work. Do I care? Absolutely not. edlib
They are doing the same here. I actually do care this time,.. but I figure I can catch all the highlights on the news for a month or 2 to come. I honestly don't care to ever hear which Inauguration was warmest or coldest ever again in my lifetime, however. God bless the 24-hour news cycle. K_Kinnison
im at work with a rare opportunity to use the intertubes. Almost half of the people in the warehouse took off today or left early (5 people) because we started the day with 8 outbounds (~40,000 lbs. Truck loads), and 3 inbound loads. Now with 9 working hours left today. we are waiting for 4 outbounds and one inbound. 3 of the outbounds are not going to show up til after 6pm. bored bored bored I just read the inaguration speech by Obama... really nice speech... likely one of the best. and i would like to say. NAH-NAH NAH NAH NAH-NAH NAH NAH HEY-EY-EY GOOD BYE!
Keyan Farlander
Now that that's over with, how long before everyone realizes that Obama will change absolutely nothing (for the better) and once again resume hating the government and America in general? I give it less than a year.
Zargon
no kidding. he can write a decent sounding speech and speak eloquently while crushing constitutional rights and printing money we dont have. all that does is make him a better speaker than bush......... Cmdr. Cracken
I'm waiting to see how he does. yes, his plan does include raising the national debt into the multi trilion dollar range. But Roosevelt did something similar and also retooled the United States for a war time economy. This guy has to do something similar but instead of war production has to move us to new industries that can carry us forward into the 21st century, something that OTHER administrations SHOULD HAVE DONE, but never did due to a complete lack of foresight, special interest groups, and preoccupation with other issues. edlib
Yesterday: Dull day at work,.. though I did catch up on a lot of paperwork that's needed to be done for a long while. Fell asleep early last night. Why is it that I have less energy and am more exhausted after some time off? Isn't supposed to be the other way around?
