K_Kinnison Posted January 15, 2009 Author Posted January 15, 2009 It is so cold a rat knocked on my door asking if he could snuggle with the cat It is so cold I had to kick a hole in the air just to get outside! It is so cold I had supper at the local diner for the heartburn It is so cold I am drinking Vodka because it is the only thing that is still liquid -6 and counting... down
Rogue15 Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 its 11 degrees now. lol still, cold is cold. looks like bad news at walmart......my assistant manager went to overnights, stupid manager rotation i guess. means we get either dickhead or a total bitch over my department. think i'll be checking into radio shack if that happens. the one person (dickhead) i can tolerate to an extent, but the total bitch will have my department running front end register or unloading freight with an understaffed department. oh yeah......vodka!!!!! i'm hoping my parents leave friday so i can finish my bottle in peace. (and go out and get anotha!!!)
K_Kinnison Posted January 15, 2009 Author Posted January 15, 2009 I woke up and it is now -12 outside It is so cold my rubber ducky refused to get in the tub. It just made that squeaky quack noise and tried to waddle south!
Rogue15 Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 i'm glad i'm not on a road crew. days like today would suck. still 12 degrees. working 12-9. somehow when i woke up this morning, i thought it was saturday...so i almost slept in. i got my body's clock down to waking up at 9:30-10:30!
GUNNER Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 I'm not sure what it was this morning but it wasn't as cold as yesterday.. I would say 35-40ish. Work is slow, today is also payday. Going to work some O/T Saturday..
edlib Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 We are still in positive temp numbers here... but also still cold enough to freeze your 'nads off! Slept late today... guess I'll stay at work a bit later tonight...
K_Kinnison Posted January 15, 2009 Author Posted January 15, 2009 Nothing better then coming home to a nice warm fuzzy cat that wants to cuddle
Kuuki Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 dont trust it! it's cold and wants to be next to something warm!!!

Rogue15 Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 man...i am wanting to play Battlefront II now after seeing this video of leaked footage of battlefront III.... http://www.joystiq.com/2009/01/15/rumor-leaked-footage-shows-star-wars-battlefront-3-in-action/ i'll be playing Fable II or Lost Odyssey tonight, but i'm up for Halo 3 or CoD4 if anyone wants to play. (i might be a bit drunk by then, vodka and orange juice ftw!)
K_Kinnison Posted January 16, 2009 Author Posted January 16, 2009 Just when I thought it couldn't get colder... it is now -16 It is so cold I can put peoples eyes out by spitting in their eyes
Keyan Farlander Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 Saw that footage of Battlefront III. Looks like more of the same, though some nice cutscenes, and possibly a good story. The one thing that really struck me was when the guy was running around on the ground, got in a ship and took off, flying around, and then flew out into space. That's a feature I've been wanting for a long time.

Wildstar Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 Our posting pace at the half-month mark still puts us well over 5,000 for the year. Good start.
edlib Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 If it's sustainable. I imagine once the brutal cold lets up, the sun comes out, and we can all get outside away from our computers a bit more often it will slow back down a bit. But for now, it's pretty bitchin'!
Rogue15 Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 got some really good sleep last night/this morning. went to bed at like 4:30 lol. going to hang with my one friend at his place and play Left 4 Dead and Fable II. going bowling with him, his girlfriend, and a few other people tonight so that should be interesting.
