Thrik
Best off asking him for a high-resolution version, or get Remi (who owns the SCUMM Bar) to ask. That looks too low-resolution to satisfactorily be turned into a poster.
Laserschwert
Yeah, I don't think that image was painted big enough to print it at poster size. Plus, it's not really poster-themed...
Apple24
Yeah, fair call. I might shoot him off an email. I'll let you guys know if I'm successful.
Amsel
I did an escape poster preview full download here Escape From Monkey Island Hi, it would be cool if someone could re-upload this or an similiar version of the EFMI- poster fileload doesn't seem to work anymore *push*
Thrik
S******g hell. Someone needs to start asking for some high-res versions of these pictures Purcell has been putting out:
Fealiks
Why would we want hi-res versions of those pictures? They're just from some hypothetical movie that may or may not have been in development at some point and may or may not have featured people you may or may not wish to refer to as "pirates". Nothing to do with any adventure games...
Thrik
I'll high-res you.
Laserschwert
I've just watched EA's press-conference (it was a live stream from GamesCom), and Tim Schafer was there presenting "Brütal Legend". And now I'm hoping that he's there all week, as I'll be there on Thursday... he could sign one of my posters! I'm way too excited now...
QueZTone
hehe, then scan his signature and make 'signed' posters versions of all your work, hee
Fealiks
You should go one step further and cover his face in ink and then press a piece of paper on it so you get a print of his face. It's better than a signature and he'd be completely up for it. At least ask him if it'd be okay... (carry a bottle of ink with you in case he says yes, which would be awesome and you'd be famous and he'd sell loads more games)
Laserschwert
I've changed my mind about the posters, and now I've printed a few 4x6 inch cards (10x15 cm), with the artworks from "Day of the Tentacle" (the normal one and the SW-one), "Full Throttle", "Grim Fandango" and "Brütal Legend". It's a little more portable... Edit: I've found a smaller FT-poster, which I'll bring. Now here's hoping that he's still there AND has time. Fealiks
AND doesn't mind getting ink on his face. Or you could do a plaster cast of his hand in the sign of the devil. Yeah, do that.
Fealiks
Seriously, do that.

Lagomorph01
Thank God Laserschwert taught us what Redfield Perfectum is!
plamdi
I already did... he said no As he should. Purcell doesn't have publication rights, and those he sells his art to has exclusive publication rights; so doing so would dilute their product and as such detract from its value. Purcell isn't stupid, he's not going to shoot himself in the foot.
TalynBigfoot
Haven't had any posts here in a while, figured I might as well revive it. Don't think this has been talked about yet (or maybe it has, sorry) but I finally got A Vampyre Story and by the end of the month can get you a hires scan of the box if you would like. Not sure of any legal things with that one though as the game is still pretty new, just a thought though.

TalynBigfoot
Haha, yep exactly like that. I posted on the AME forum asking if anything like that would be put in their store. If they don't make an official one I may end up making that one on my own.
Laserschwert
That one came from Bill Tiller himself... looks like he's okay with the poster project, so I'll make a big one out of it.
SHODANFreeman
Like this? (Click for big) I wonder how that'd look at 12x16... * scurries off to posterxxl.com *
Laserschwert
I don't think that's suitable for that size yet.... still needs some blowing-up.
SHODANFreeman
I don't think that's suitable for that size yet.... still needs some blowing-up. Well, according to them, the image is of "very good" quality for a 12x16, so I think I'll order one and if it turns out poorly, oh well it's only a couple bucks lost. TalynBigfoot
I looked at the size, and it actually would be better to be printed as a 12x18 poster instead. Just minor cropping on the top or bottom would be needed at that point.
