Camavane
I'm new here on the forums. I've played the X-box version through about forty thousand times but then I sold my X-box to get a 360. I got a hankering to play again, so I got the PC version of KotOR and since it's on PC, I figured it'd have some mods. Luckily I was right, and there are tons. Too many, in fact, to sift through and find the good ones without spending several years on my laptop. So, I was wondering if somebody would kindly provide a list of quintessential mods. It would be greatly appreciated
Q
Definitely look into the Brotherhood of Shadow. And welcome to the forum.
Darth Avlectus
Welcome! Warning I can be a sarcastic bastard but I'll indulge you here. You might also try holowan labs "requests for PCGM mods" thread. Now then: Sith Spectre's "Revan Flowing Cape fix"--RECCOMENDED FIRST AND FOREMOST As well, there are tons of good Revan mods out there Try the Darth Malak Vader reskin, or the new "dark lord" reskin where his robes have been simply colored black if the vader mod is too unoriginal for you. "Sith eyes"--on the dark side they get like that of Maul and Palpatine in the films. I would recommend also the Exar Kun tomb mod. http://knightsoftheoldrepublic.filefront.com/file/Exar_Kuns_Tomb;87321 Exar's doublesaber http://knightsoftheoldrepublic.filefront.com/file/New_Exar_Kun_DoubleSaber_Hilt;97628 There is the Solomon's Revenge mod...haven't touched it yet (Sorry Silveredge9!) I would like to put forth trying to download Cate Kroft's mods at dream9 studios but I'm afraid she isn't distributing them anymore. She restored the wookiee amulet and fixed the force regen of one of the crystals in game. I have some mods myself (including cate's) but my cds dvds and hard drives with all of the mods are in storage...and I have a waiting list all the while for people waiting for the mods. If you want to get on the list go ahead and check out what I have: http://lucasforums.com/blog.php?b=552 Hope you enjoy our community! (Hope you have a sense of humor too!) Welcome to LucasForums...and IMO you came for the right reasons, smart move getting the PC version of KOTOR. Best of luck to you, friend.
Astor
Definitely look into the Brotherhood of Shadow Seconded, even if it's damned difficult to use other mods with it. I'd recommend Inryi's Recruitable Kay mod. I really liked that one. And welcome to LF!
LordOfTheFish
Well, I don't play KotOR anymore, and I know almost nothing about mods and modding, I thought I'd still drop by to say welcome to LucasForums! Have fun!
The Silly Saber
Hi Camavane! I'm pretty new myself and came here for exactly the same reason. As others have recommended, Brotherhood of Shadow: Solomon's Revenge is phenomenal. It's a huge and elaborate mod, that's almost a game all on it's own. Can't recommend it highly enough. Recruitable Kay is fun too, as are the Revan Robes mod, and pretty much all of RedHawke's mods (Ord Mandell, Jawa shop, Item Packs, et c) too. There are loads of good mods though. Black Vulkar Restoration, Taris Restoration, etc. The first place to have a good trawl through is Filefront. Now I've played through all the biggest and baddest mods of K1, I've loaded TSL and need to find some good mods for that. Final Touch looks awesome as a good start though (hmm... better start a new thread on that somewhere).
Darth Avlectus
^^^For TSL Try out Heart of The Force, though caution, it doesn't work for small and double sabers.
purifier
Welcome, and Hola, I hope you have fun here at LF. And if you have a good sense of humor, that will make the time you spend here a whole lot more fun. BECAUSE THE INTERNET IS SERIOUS BUSINESS, BYE-GOD. Anyway..jokes aside, all the mods that these guys have recommended so far are certainly worth the download and plus many more. Welcome! Warning I can be a sarcastic bastard but I'll........ WHAT! I don't beleive it, whyyyyyyyy everybody knows GTA, that your the nicest guy around here; in these here (LF) parts.

Endorenna
Hey, welcome. I tend to play TSL more than KOTOR, so I'm afraid I can't recommend any mods. >_< I've never heard a bad word spoken (or written, I should say ) about Brotherhood of Shadow, but I've never played it myself. Thanks so much for that tip Canderis. I don't know how (blind stupidity, maybe?), but I'd completely missed that thread in my previous trawlings for mod recommendations. Woot! I downloaded tons of mods for TSL now and will be trying out Final Touch, TSL Holowan Plugin and many others shortly.

ZimmMaster
As others have recommended, the Brotherhood of Shadow Solomon's Revenge mod. Don't forget the patch. I also recommend Revan's Flowing Cape and Belt Fix to be used in conjunction with the BOS:SR and/or one of the many Darth Revan mods out there.
