Late to the thread response, late at night, but hey.

Any car that is:

 

a. paid off

 

b. looks relatively cool

 

c. allows me to play Kamelot, Skillet, Eagles, Beatles, Ravel, Beethoven, and Josquin DesPrez with equally excellent sound at appropriate levels (read, I want to play my rock REALLY loud, and when I sing with DesPrez I want to feel like I'm smack dab in the middle of a 100-person choir)

 

d. large enough and comfortable enough for ample tushy

 

e. has lots of bells and whistles (read, playing with buttons is Fun)

 

f. is automatic because me knee is crap, even though manual is Way More Cool

 

g. Is insurable at a cost that is not blatantly obscene,

 

would be just fine by me.

Cliffnotes: Tesla goes 250miles/charge, has max speed of ~125mph, and is a danger to others on the road in cold or chilly weather on the original tires.

 

Don't forget, that in very warm climates(like say HERE IN AZ) the summer heat kills batteries.

 

As for the race tires thing. I had a friend who refused to wear seatbelts. I convinced him to use seatbelts in my car. GOOD brakes + sticky tires=faceprint on windshield.

where do i begin with this thread?? i've had a love affair going on with cars ever since i got started playing Forza 2 on my 360 (and before that, i still liked cars a lot).

 

as for giving you any one car that tops my list, forget about it. there's been way too many great cars over the years for me to pick just one. if i did have to choose a Top Ten however....

Hopefully the model doesn't go on hiatus. By the time I buy another car I'd really like to see radar, ladar, and one of those awesome coolant thermos bottles (Like the Prius has) make it down to the mid-range models.

If not I'll probably just buy a diesel Rav, I'm easy to please.
