edlib
Why is it snowing in October? Because the world hates us. I'm at work tonight. Looks like I'll be leaving here in order to drive home in the worst of it. But as of now, it's pretty much just globs of shush plopping down from above. Not pretty. I'd like to get Skyrim, it looks amazing... but I know I don't have the kind of time that game will take. I barely made a scratch in Oblivion. The new Ace Combat looks cool too... but I'll wait for that one to drop in price. No rush on that one.
Keyan Farlander
Played a little Rage last night. Game looks absolutely amazing. Shooting stuff seems pretty cool too. Also, John Goodman is in it.

edlib
Hmm... no. But they can't all be totally epic. I'm home sick today. I feel like crap. Probably brought on by all the various stresses I've been under lately: Work stress... Relationship drama... Parental drama... money worries... All combining into a huge ball of suck. I just want it to all go away... but unfortunately, I have to confront and try to fix it all. When did life get so miserably complicated??? Keyan Farlander
When did life get so miserably complicated??? Probably the very day your parents first realized you could understand what they were saying and they started telling you to do stuff. Face it, when you don't know anything and all you do is eat and sleep and play and have other people take care of you, that's the prime of your life. Everything after that is horribly complicated. edlib
Most of this week was lost to me in a haze of sickness and blah. Now I'm working all weekend, still not feeling great. Did manage to play a bit of Forza 4 and Gears 3 the other day while I was home sick. Other than that, there are no highlights to this entire week to report. K_Kinnison
Well, for me besides the usual drudgery, was able to curl for the first time this season at the La Crosse Curling club. it uses Arena Ice, so it is rather different. I was able to figure out the ice a little quicker then my opponent and he made a mistake which caused him to miss a take out and allow me to score 3 to start. Ended up winning 6-3 after 6 ends. We had about 24 people show up for leauge curling. 90% of them had not curled before last year. One of my comments after the game was "You having anything stronger then Cocoa?" Thankfully i bought a bottle of scotch, and had some at home afterwards.
Cmdr. Cracken
Watching the Occupy Movement. Another Iraqi War Vet is now hospitalized in Oakland. So now I sit, wondering when will it be enough to provoke an all out "war".

Cmdr. Cracken
Skyrim comes out this week. Which means I will be on the receiving end of "CAN'T TALK, GAME IS HERE" from my girlfriend. I'm strangely ok with that.
K_Kinnison
one thing i found out is that it is okay for my wife to watch TV all evening, but she has a problem with me being on the computer all evening. Especially when I am "IN" a game
Cmdr. Cracken
Well, the reason I'm ok with this is because she also realizes two things: 1) I'm a giant Blizzard and Star Wars fanboy. 2) The Old Republic comes out in a month, followed a few months later by Diablo III. So.... being a gamer herself, she understands. It's wierd. Again, I refuse to take this as bad.

K_Kinnison
I am going to hold out for Diablo 3. As it is, I am hard pressed to spend much time on a game these days, with a wife, a house and a job (not to mention a really whiny cat)

edlib
Just got back from checking my mom in at the emergency room for pretty bad chest pains. I'm hoping for the best... but I really won't know more until morning. After hooking her up to an EKG nobody at the hospital seemed to be in a panic while I was there, and her pains actually went away before I left to come home, but they wanted to check her in for observation overnight. I'm hoping it's just a scare... nothing serious. But I'm also hoping it could also be the thing that gets my mom and girlfriend to actually talk to one another again, or even just agree to perhaps be in the same room together... something that hasn't happened since before Halloween. It's been a rough couple of weeks. And I'm sure the sickness I'm still fighting stems from the all the stress I've been swallowing...
